Huh? His approval ratings in Florida are pretty strong.

+1 I would illegally vote twice to vote for Biden over DeSantis.

I think Little D has painted himself into a bit of a corner. He could have seemed like a normie R who could have appealed to disaffected Ds and Is, but instead he went full throttle culture war. Who do you think wants all this anti-gay legislation? Who wants petty vindictive attacks on Disney - Disney?!

But I do worry.

+1 to post of these posts. If it's Biden vs DeSantis I'm voting for Biden. DeSantis has heated up some really dumb culture wars for no valid reason.

Who started culture wars?

No one other than our resident conservative bigoted keyboard warrior believes the policies and rhetoric he is pushing isn’t anti-LGTBQ. Furthermore it’s viewed as cruel by moderates and clownish in the face of real national issues. He’s seen as captain COVid with a shockingly unnecessary death toll. His disastrous covid actually helped keep Newsom in CA in office. We don’t want to be like Florida brought Dems out in record numbers. His treatment of the AA community is so appalling from not getting early vaccines into AA areas to removing representation, he’s a few steps away from KKK territory. Let’s not forget how rude and dismissive he’s been of Parkland victims, being pro school shooting always wins suburban women. He’ll do great in the Republican primaries with the white supremists, alt right radio and social media crowd and boomers who live in the villages. This is not enough to win a national election and maybe not enough to even win the primary.

It’s just like you forgot the republicans always fall in line….

But that doesn't matter. Republicans are only 28% of the electorate. Democrats used to be much larger, over 40%, but have dropped to a mirrored 28%. Independents are now 42% of the electorate, so appealing to the moderates and independents is key.

Right now, neither Biden nor Trump or DeSantis appeals to the middle and Independents. If either party can find a candidate that does appeal to the middle, they will take the election.

In 2020, Biden appealed more to the middle and won the election. At this point, both parties are pushing further away from the middle and that is costing them dearly.

+1 you nailed it

Please Biden is a total middle of the road politician. He is what the independent moderates crave. That said your logic is way off. The strategy is to get your base out and keep everyone else at home- specially the independents. Look at trumps campaign.

He was - I don't know if he is anymore. I guess we'll see. I still like Biden but it seems like I am increasingly alone in that position. I worry what happens when he's campaigning on his own self and his own achievements instead of campaigning on being a reset from the nightmare Trump times.

He may have campaigned that way. But, I present to you, without commentary, the White House Briefing Room: https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/briefing-room/

LOL, newsflash:
Parents don't want their young kids brainwashed with gender identity crisis and be taught that gender at birth has no significance whatsoever, they can just pick and choose what they want to be. Parents who always wished for a child of a certain sex but never got one are delighted though. Maybe they'd vote against De Santis, keeping fingers crossed.

Parents don't want to expose their kids at a young age to the various forms of human sexuality, they simply don't want any of this to be the focus in EDUCATION in early grades where the focus should be on mastering basic math, reading/writing, and science skills. They will let kids figure out social skills by means of socializing with their peers and without woke ideologies being shoved down their throats in 2nd grade when many of them are still feeling their way around beginner chapter books.

You are high if you think Vax mandates and vaxxports are super awesome thing to stand behind if you want to win any election these days. This was a wrong turn and Democrats made a huge mistake. It's literally their version of Christian nationalists cries for complete abortion ban. De Santis made vaccines available, he just didn't force people under duress to take them, he focused on the vulnerable, not on low risk and Covid recovered unlike the dum dums in democrat run big cities. Compare De Santis and Cuomo and how they handled vulnerable population during the pandemic in their states. Nursing homes were killing fields in NY/NJ. Then idiot De Blasio went all the way in with the vaxxports and mandates and resorted to terrorizing little kids by banning them from all indoor public life. Later his successor forced toddlers to mask when everyone else was unmasked for many months until LIBERAL parents started protesting and crying about their babies subjected to masked preschool outdoor outings in 90 degree weather. Yeah, winning.

Biden is in severe mental decline. Democrats will take him out well before ‘24. It is already happening. Kamala will be next because while not in mental decline, she is pretty stupid and disengaged. Independents see this. Dems are in a panic because Mayor Pete is not qualified and the only other viable candidates would be Klobuchar and the Sneator who lied about being a Native American to get a job at Harvard. But, anything can happen.

All I see posted is how DeSantis is so anti-LGBTQIA -How so? Because of the Parental Bill that he passed??

Then you need to vote for the Republicans. Trump hated shutting down the economy. It went against every bone in his business oriented money driven body. But he did it because Fauci and others said it had to be done to protect Americans. Biden could do things now to help Americans but he is so obsessed with progressive politics above all else. And so is Pelosi and Mayorkas and Granholm and AOC.

Sorry these people don’t fit the bill. I don’t see bright stars anywhere.

I agree. The more I see of him, the more I like him. Especially in contrast to the LWNJs who dominate the discourse on this site.
