Ok. So how about Biden v DeSantis?

Except there's not any such thing as a formal plan or agenda or organized coordinated effort in existence to teach sexuality in public school K-3. It's just another made-up right wing scaremongering propaganda point to divide Americans and freak the conservative base out so that they can control their base, make them go blind, attack the left and stop listening to reason, reality and sanity.

Where do your children attend public school? Or maybe you work in a system that doesn't teach about sexuality? Yes, we do in Heorgia and Florida.

I'd like a younger, viable Democratic candidate. I don't hate Biden and I don't blame him for a lot of the current economic mess. Has he made mistakes? Yes, but so does every other President. There's no such thing as a perfect president.

DeSantis scares the hell out of me. He will make Trump look like a walk in the park.

In comparison with Trump he definitely is smarter, more controlled, and on a mission.

I would like a link to the previous K-3 sex education curriculum that a previous poster mentioned was so bad in Florida. Is it still available for us to peruse? What was so horrible in that curriculum?

The valid reason is that he is now tied with Biden. Democrats *still* haven't learned that pushing their social issues so aggressively is harming them.

The only party I see pushing social issues is republicans. In fact, other than making sure democrats' votes don't count, it is the ONLY thing they are pushing.

Even if you think votes are based on the economy and even if you think we are in a recession, there is a very long time until the next presidential election. Recessions tend to last about a year. We could easily be past the recession and on to the next economic expansion by the time voters go to the polls in fall of 2024.

I'm not pro De Santis but the rate at which people are moving to Florida makes me think he must not be THAT disliked.

Florida seems to have come through the epidemic smelling like a rose too. Economy is good, people flocked there etc. I'm curious to know what Florida's real, actual Covid death toll is, though.

Didn't you guys read the Eastman memo? We don't do presidential elections anymore. Harris just picks who she wants.

+1 I would illegally vote twice to vote for Biden over DeSantis.

I think Little D has painted himself into a bit of a corner. He could have seemed like a normie R who could have appealed to disaffected Ds and Is, but instead he went full throttle culture war. Who do you think wants all this anti-gay legislation? Who wants petty vindictive attacks on Disney - Disney?!

But I do worry.

Only a Democrat would announce that they would vote illegally. Ugh, we have an awful Democrat President due to some shady voting during COVID. Don’t want to make that mistake again.

DeSantis is a performative clown, who lurches from one hot-button topic that riles up the base to another. He's a lightweight who would be a disaster as President - worse than George W Bush.

DeSantis would win.

DeSantis, hopefully.

The reactions in Whole Foods to my "DeSantis 2024" t-shirt were hilarious.

Democrats started the culture wars, and now they're all upset that people like DeSantis are fighting back.

But sure, drag queen events in school are a winning approach for the Democratic party.
