Didn’t know they had a Potomac falls campus |
They have three -- Oakton, Potomac Falls, and 7-12 in Reston. |
Actually, PP sounds very judgmental and unkind. And perhaps not a good fit for that particular school (because they were "reduced" to "take it or leave it public schools or applying to smaller schools"). That sounds like PP was hostile to the school's mission and they sensed that. She was wasting their time. |
Many religious schools don’t want openly hostile students. They are fine with some diverging viewpoints, but fit is important and if you are anti-religion, I can’t see why you would even apply. |
Exactly, my read as well |
Read it again. You have it backwards. The student and family were kind and open, the HOS was openly hostile: “… Our family was kind, open, and receptive throughout the entire application process. We could tell during the parent interview that it was not a good match. The HOS was just short of openly hostile. It was a bit baffling.” This is a bad look for Dominion Christian, not the family. Read the other responses, and you will note others had the same experience. |
Ok…nothing my post, or our interview with the HOS, was “anti-religion,” quite the opposite. It was the HOS that was openly hostile. It would appear you are attempting to change the facts. Why? To defend Dominion Christian, regardless of the facts? The letter was mean, petty, and unnecessary. That’s on Dominion Christian. If you don’t like how it makes Dominion Christian look, take it up with the HOS, not the family. |
Thank you for responding. It helps to know we aren’t the only ones who were treated this way. They really should reconsider their approach. |
