I don’t really care for most offal but that isn’t something I’m served frequently.

For those who dislike the taste of jarred mayo (not that I think anyone should eat it since it's not exactly healthy or anything) you guys should try Japanese mayo called kewpie if you need to use it in a recipe. It tastes really different for some reason.

It’s made only with yolk and has msg in it

raw tomatoes
coconut

I don't care for olives except black olives but will eat them to be sociable.

I’ve not eaten pork or red meat in over 25 years. Always detested meat, even as a child. I find the smell of pork chops cooking absolutely vile, but love the smell of bacon.

Turkey - I shudder to think about eating roasted Thanksgiving turkey. Always, always dry with a gross crumbly texture and tastes gamey to me. This past Thanksgiving, I decided to be a sport and take a bite. Nope! Never again!

I’m keenly sensitive to cooking smells; worst for me are fried liver (recall from childhood), fish and again, meat roasting (DH makes a pressure cooker beef barbecue)…I don’t like the smells IN my house, if that makes sense. Don’t mind going to a barbecue restaurant because it smells nice.

No msg in mine. Which brand are you talking about?

-anything in the anise family including licorice
- liver and kidney but I like hearts and giblets
-chitterlings
-sauerkraut- tastes like vomit
-capers- berries of evil!
-anything with mayo (I'm the crazy chicken salad hater)
-jello with stuff in it
-Ambrosia salad-texture is offensive
-canned tuna is vile!!
-beets taste like dirt
-boar sausage- tastes Iike what a live boar smells like
-goat and sheep cheese or milk- again tastes like what the animal smells like
-Swiss cheese
-I prefer sushi to cooked fish - less "fishy"

I'm not a super taster but I'm a super smeller which got worse with each pregnancy

Mayonnaise- taste, texture, smell. I would do anything to avoid it if I were a guest at your table.
Salad and seafood. I had hyperemesis through 3 pregnancies and could keep them down. Now I can’t eat them without gagging.
“Buttercreme” made with shortening and cool whip are such sad substitutes for the real thing.

They taste like blood and dirt, right? I love them but you are like my dad. He’s not a picky eater at all ( he grew up poor) but this is how he feels about beets (and liver). It must be minerals that you can taste!

Interesting to note that I consider myself a super smeller and some of my very favorite foods are listed as most hated to include beets, sauerkraut and olives.

Hah, these are 3 of my favorite foods.

I hate: runny eggs, asparagus, okra, eggplant, sauerkraut, all parts of chicken except boneless skinless breasts, licorice, green bell peppers.

Dislike heavily processed foods with weird stuff in them.

Like Velveeta Mac and cheese my ILs make.
Or Pillsbury crescent rolls and biscuits.
Or Biscuit mix.

All of them have a strange smell and texture that I dislike. Most of the TJ’s frozen items I’ve tried are actually ok, as well as Amy’s.

Mayonnaise- can't stand it, even if it's a minimal amount
Cheesecake- I've tried it over and over because I love dessert and it's so pretty, but I can't enjoy the texture and tang.
Any fatty meat- duck, fatty steaks, etc.

Anonymous wrote:I'm vegetarian now but before I was, I really strongly disliked poultry: chicken, turkey. I hate the smell, the taste, the texture no matter how it's prepared. Pre-vegetarianism I also hated roast beef and pork chops though I liked other types of beef and pork so it wasn't like I was against all red meat.
I also have always had an aversion to shellfish except (oddly) I loved raw oysters. I think w/ that it's mostly the idea of these little creepy looking creatures, especially shrimp. They're just so strange looking and I hated the idea of eating them. I also don't like the texture of shrimp or lobster.
Other than that, mushrooms and eggplant, mayonnaise and pre-vegetarianism any mayonnaise based "salads" like chicken salad or tuna salad, marshmallows, raisins, jello, fruity candy of any kind, sherbet or any fruit flavored popsicle/frozen treat. I only like eggs if they are scrambled and have lots of hot sauce and/or salsa on top. Otherwise I won't eat eggs--hate them hard boiled and deviled eggs particularly disgust me. It's the smell, taste, and the texture.
Like someone else said, I like bananas by themselves but I don't like anything made with bananas (banana bread/muffins, banana desserts, or banana flavor in anything)
Hate soy fake meat and fake cheese products.

I ask this sincerely, what do you eat? And particularly, how do you get your protein intake?

It’s a struggle! I dont like a lot of foods. For protein I eat: beans and peas, lentils, chickpeas, oats, yogurt and cheese, nuts and nut butters, protein rich vegetables like potatoes and broccoli and spinach. And I will eat tofu too though I don’t love it.

I wish I liked more foods. I’ve always been super picky. It kind of sucks.

I had 3 hyperemesis pregnancies as well and am amazed you could eat seafood! Or salad!! I barely got to the point of choking down small amounts of plain pasta. Now, 7+ years later I cannot stand orzo.

Eggplant. I don’t care how it’s prepared. I hate it.

Cottage cheese.

I love sushi but can’t eat uni. I’ve been served it a few times in high-end Japanese restaurants. Repulsive.
