Foods that you strongly dislike, if there are any?

Most processed meat (like spam or bologna) or cheese (like kraft slices). I can do velveeta in queso though, and I like hot dogs, especially grilled.

String beans and papaya--just don't like the taste. I like other fruits and vegetables just fine.

Oysters, mussels, clams, scallops...texture and taste. Same with beef below medium, or other undercooked meat (I don't mind raw tuna though, weirdly enough).

I like the taste of bean sprouts and cantaloupe but knowing how prone to contamination they are makes me too grossed out to eat them.

Brussels sprouts. I cannot stand the smell, and recoil even if someone at a nearby table at a restaurant orders them. (Although I guess this is a pandemic perk since I rarely eat inside restaurants now.) I know they are popular, but yuck!

Hot dogs, pizza and burgers. Can't stand them. Maybe I just don't like bread and dough.
What do I eat at parties? Many other stuff that are not those.
I feel my life is shorten by a few months when I eat these.
I can't stand pizza Friday.

Tuna out of a can, tuna salad.

But my greatest lifetime hate is reserved for egg salad. Can't even be in the room if someone *else* is eating it.

Also, I like brussell sprouts (roasted), but I get the repulsion. The smell is really something. Literally as soon as I stop eating, I'm like "Ugh the stink! The stink!"

I'm vegetarian now but before I was, I really strongly disliked poultry: chicken, turkey. I hate the smell, the taste, the texture no matter how it's prepared. Pre-vegetarianism I also hated roast beef and pork chops though I liked other types of beef and pork so it wasn't like I was against all red meat.
I also have always had an aversion to shellfish except (oddly) I loved raw oysters. I think w/ that it's mostly the idea of these little creepy looking creatures, especially shrimp. They're just so strange looking and I hated the idea of eating them. I also don't like the texture of shrimp or lobster.
Other than that, mushrooms and eggplant, mayonnaise and pre-vegetarianism any mayonnaise based "salads" like chicken salad or tuna salad, marshmallows, raisins, jello, fruity candy of any kind, sherbet or any fruit flavored popsicle/frozen treat. I only like eggs if they are scrambled and have lots of hot sauce and/or salsa on top. Otherwise I won't eat eggs--hate them hard boiled and deviled eggs particularly disgust me. It's the smell, taste, and the texture.
Like someone else said, I like bananas by themselves but I don't like anything made with bananas (banana bread/muffins, banana desserts, or banana flavor in anything)
Hate soy fake meat and fake cheese products.

I don’t hate it but I am not a fan of ketchup. Also hate any kind of fruit drink - juice or Gatorade or Vitaminwater that has artificial fruit taste. Blegh. I love most everything else though.

I ask this sincerely, what do you eat? And particularly, how do you get your protein intake?

Durian, papaya, bananas (well I do eat a couple of super-local varieties of banana available in my hometown overseas)

Offal
Turnips

Fascinated by how often papaya has been mentioned! I don't love it myself, but thought it was just me.

And I love brussels sprouts, but agree that the smell is noxious.

Anonymous wrote:Jarred mayonnaise. That’s really about it.
I don’t really care for most offal but that isn’t something I’m served frequently.

For those who dislike the taste of jarred mayo (not that I think anyone should eat it since it's not exactly healthy or anything) you guys should try Japanese mayo called kewpie if you need to use it in a recipe. It tastes really different for some reason.

smell: anything smoked, bacon, sausages
taste: hot dogs, sour cream, creamy sauces, meats with any tomato sauce, green peppers
texture: jello, aspic, mochi, tapioca pearls, any pulled meat, okra
smell and taste: Indian food (because of the fenugreek, coriander, cardamon, cumin), licorice, pickles
taste and texture: tofu
everything: meatloaf, meatballs, coconut, all soda except root beer

I like cupcakes, I guess, but I hate how it became hip to put like 1 to 2" of icing on them. Nasty. I scrape off 90% of it.

I also hate how bakeries put either course sugar or drizzle liquid icing (which dries and hardens) on top of so many items. Nasty!
