DD hates her moles and freckles on face

Anonymous
Ok, I think this is sad too!! I have moles on my face (not sure how many but I’m very “moley”) and they are such a part of my identity…I never can imagine hating them, just like I couldn’t imagine hating my eyes or mouth. They’re just THERE. As a mom, your job is to wave her off & tell her she is gorgeous, her moles add to her uniqueness & that she better get used to them because they’ll be there her whole life.

That’s just my advice. Obviously others will say it’s fine to remove. She will have new moles though, so I don’t see the point.

Plastic surgeon we saw in person today said he could take out 2 of the largest that bother her but there will be scars they can lazer later to make them less noticeable. I think DD is leaning toward waiting to do anything after hearing the professional describe the process of removal. I hope she starts feeling less self-conscious about them. 🙏🏻

I hated all my moles, freckles and hair when i was young. Tween and teen years. Alot of people make fun of them and comment on them. In my 20s, I had laser hair removal on my legs and underarm cause I was tired of shaving. Now, I don't even care about what is on my face. The more sun, the more darker the moles and freckles get, so wear a hat or lather on some sunblock. I do wear a hat in the summer if I'm exposed to the sun a long time.
