That’s surprising without test scores. Everyone has 4.0 and good to great ECs, unless you have some hook there.

Yeah do that! Congrats

Thanks. DC is also in with free tuition at our in state flagship. He applied ED2 to a more highly ranked private which is unlikely to offer any merit. We can afford it, but I have to admit I won’t be super sad if he doesn’t get in. It is a good example of how ED favors the wealthy. The difference will be anywhere from $100,000 to almost $250,000 over four years. That’s real money.

$16k/yr from WPI
$30k/yr from St. Olaf

Going with WPI, at least happy we're not paying full price.

With that much saved, and considering you have to disclose that, you likely won’t get aid. Aid is for people who need it, please keep that in mind. You clearly don’t.

You can definitely get merit aid. We have more than that saved, and DC has gotten very generous merit offers (that we didn’t apply for).

What is definition of merit aid.

My kid got $15,000 University Grant and $15,000 Dean's Scholarship per year.
Did I earn right to brag that my kid got merit aid scholarship?
