Over 4years? That can’t be yearly. |
| DS got 40K/year at Case Western, test optional |
Merit or financial aid? The two are very different. |
I didn't mention "yearly". He got in his dream school so we didn't look at them carefully. |
The thread is about merit, so merit |
DS is a junior and loves it. He received the merit scholarship—$12K each year. Combined with DCTAG, it’s a great deal for us. |
| $9000/yr from Colorado School of Mines. DC did not submit test scores. |
| I’m less interested in merit and more interested in what the COA is after merit. If one school is still $50k after merit and another is $25k, that seems like a far more relevant data point. |
Yes. For example my kid got 9000/yr from Mines and $18 k at WPI which makes the COA lower even though WPI is more expensive at full rack rate. My kid got 0 from Pitt. |
| Enough oos merit aid each year = instate tuition at University of Connecticut |
Another parent with DC getting $9K to Mines. DC did not submit test scores. |

Tennessee $15,000/year
SMU $25,000/year (+invitation to apply for Presidential Scholarship, which is a full ride) |
Yeah do that! Congrats |
