| What's the average amount of oos merit aid for kids who are coming from magnets, SAT score high 1560+? |
Did they choose one of these schools? |
Depends on school. Some don’t offer merit. Also, the amount is not important when comparing schools. What’s important is the cost of attendance after merit. |
| Pitt, , Drexel, UDel and Case Western. Didn't attend any because tuition still too out of reach. |
| Vermont. |
Just wanted to add DC was offered $9,500/year which makes it cheaper than any in state school since the OOS tuition is also very reasonable. This was just based on GPA, didn’t submit test scores. I suspect students with excellent test scores and even higher GPAs would be offered even more in merit aid. |
| Florida. Full ride, thankfully. |
Op here, I’m not sure if my kid can even get accepted umd’s main campus in the first place |
I’d expect a no-that-selective school that wants your kid to at least match the in-state cost of your state flagship. If they don’t do that, they don’t actually love your kid. |
| Tulane $30k per year. Miami of Ohio $24k per year. |
| Miami of OH - $21k/year |
| Alabama — basically free |
Correct. This was the case for our DC. SAT 1500+ |
| U Del and Miami in Ohio. |
