| Planning to move, looking for a club with ZERO parent influence on coaching or any kind of parent role in team actions. I don’t care paying the extra admin fee for a team coordinator or manager or whatever. If you know of the ideal club I welcome recommendations. |
Most clubs have team administrators that do card, field assignments, HR, etc? Are you looking for one with no team managers as well? How much influence can a team manager have over a coaches decision? Really? Don't they just send the team snap messages, bring the cards and remind people which color uniform to wear? |
Look for a coach listed as a manager. |
Join one of the many small clubs in your area, like mostly Latino or black ones. Look at EDP leagues and check out the ones that are competitive but you prob have never heard of. We are at one and there is very little, if any, parental involvement in coaching. Coordinator/manager is a club employee and never a parent. Prob because they just want the kids to play and most parents know very little about college athletic scholarship process, etc. Bonus, they are often much cheaper. |
Barca Academy in Leesburg has no parent roles and little direct interaction with the coaches. Interaction is through the age group coordinator and tech director and club admin. It's not the perfect club but if you are looking for no parent influence this is probably as close as you'll get. |
Well that's definitely a plus worth considering in my book! Any idea where they plan to practice after the Spring season when their existing contract(s) at Evergreen (now VA Revolution Sportsplex) come to an end? Will it still be in the Leesburg area somewhere? |
