Besides just the vague "avoid sugar" or "avoid carbs." What in your experience is easy and also super advantageous? My two:
- I switched out morning fresh pastry or Kashi cereal for old fashioned oatmeal with banana. - Quit diet soda and "sugar free" drinks and just drink loads of still and sparkling water. |
| For me, it was stopping the afternoon snacking....that was huge. |
| Damn your post is such a bummer. I eat fruit and oatmeal every morning and already only drink water. I'm fat as a house. |
| Dairy was big for me. |
| just dont eat anything |
| Eating at least 100 grams of protein per day. No starchy carbs other than 1-2 servings at dinner (at least during the week--I eat a bit more on the weekends). |
| bread, alcohol, dairy |
Same here. |
I've been eating oatmeal with 2% milk and an apple or banana almost every day of my adult life. It keeps me from being hungry, and I'm not overweight. Sometimes I add a scoop of protein powder. |
| bread, desserts, and no coffee with cream/sugar except early morning (1 mug) |
|
White things, including salt.
No dairy No white carbs Quick results, but I was miserable. |
Maybe I should start eating oatmeal for dinner in that case. It's when I get home from work that all hell breaks loose. |

Eating out in general
ALCOHOL |
Bingo |
| I think juice is big. There was an NYT article that said an 8oz or 10oz glass of "100% pure orange juice" is 10 teaspoons of sugar! |
