The charging document was clearly nonsense. When Sussman asked for something more specific, he got a nonsense response from Durham. It's disappointing.

He has so much evidence, yet he cannot quote the alleged lie at the center of his case. And he can't do it because the only other person in the room doesn't remember what was said, and he's instead relying on a vague note written by someone who wasn't party to the conversation and which will be inadmissible hearsay. Seems like a problem.

When the centerpiece of your whole case is based on unsubstantiated hearsay that's definitely a huge problem.

But then again my personal theory is Durham maybe doesn't really about legal process or if this will stick, it's more about creating enough bogus chaff to keep the MAGAs hopeful and continue feeding their delusions to keep feeding the RW fundraising and grift...
