Palestinians Starving - What Can We Do?

If the alternative is willing the war with Israel, that has a zero percent chance of happening.

Hamas is virtue signaling. It’s like a gang member gaining street cred for going to jail. They want to say we took this beating and stood tall. Look how tough we are.

Israel refuses to give them any way to spin a ceasefire as a victory, so they continue to press the attack.

Neither side is thinking of the civilians.

There are three sides. The IDF, Hamas, and the innocent people suffering from the murderous ways of the IDF and Hamas.

Where would they be now if we had not been funding both sides for decades?

Can’t forget Iran. They’ve funded Hamas more than anyone else.

Gazans continue to be slaughtered every day and posters here claim they are “psychopaths” and “full of hate” for fighting the occupation. Did you forget “Give me liberty or give me death!” or does that only count if you are an American?

A nation literally birthed by the first modern day terrorists has since created a cottage industry out of accusing everyone else of being a terrorist and extorting $300B+ from the U.S. to finance their own continued terrorism, now “state sponsored”.

Because Israel is playing right into their hands. They want the destruction of Israel. They cannot beat Israel while Israel has the support of the world, especially the US. Israel rapidly destroying that support with every fresh war crime revealed, and every new photo of a starving child. When this is over, Israel will be a pariah state, and Jewish people will be far less safe. Hamas is getting exactly what they want, and they've shown they are perfectly willing to sacrifice their people to win. It's the Palestinian people, and the Israeli people who will lose.

Israel was more of a pariah state 25 years ago than today. There was more public pressure on them during the “Second Intifada” than today.

The difference is that Gaza was then run by Fatah who seemed more reasonable. Now they are controlled by Hamas. As disturbed as people are by the destruction of Gaza, they quietly know the misery will never end until Hamas is destroyed.

You do realize you sound like a supremacist. You are a supremacist.

Some people can live freely but not others. Those others need to endure decades of occupation, and not starvation.

Hamas does need to be destroyed but this is no green light to kill and starve the innocent people living under the rule of Hamas. The IDF is no more justified in blowing up hospitals than were Hamas for shooting innocent kids in the back while they were fleeing a music festival. It's all disgusting. There is no moral high ground anywhere to be found.

Even more than Netanyahu??

Iran gives Hamas around $100 million every year, and they’ve been funding Hamas since the 90s. They are by far the biggest supporters of Hamas.

For some reason people don’t talk about it enough.

Source? Even if true, that's at least 1/38th of the financing and weapon support given by the US to Israel each and every year.

I've heard Netanyahu funding Hamas to the tune of close to 2 billion using Qatar as an intermediary.

You're never going to get official numbers, but there has been all kinds of reporting on it.

Back in 2007 to Palestinian Foreign Minister said Iran gave Hamas $120 million.
https://www.reuters.com/article/world/iran-gave-120-mln-to-hamas-govt-palestinian-fm-idUSBLA653195/

Back in 2022, Ismail Haniyeh acknowledged in an interview that Hamas received $70 million that year in military assistance from Iran.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/10/09/iran-support-hamas-training-weapons-israel/

Here's a wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_support_for_Hamas

You can keep googling. Take your pick. The numbers fluctuate, but all signs point to Iran being the biggest financial backer of Hamas. More than Israel ever has. People here keep talking about Hamas like it's an Israeli puppet. No, if anything they are an Iranian puppet. Hezbollah and Hamas are known Iranian proxies. They purposely want to fuel this violence and are an obstacle to peace.

Yes, the US has supported Israel through military aid. That's a separate topic.

If only there were a few Muslim countries in the Middle East that had a little spare money….
