I don't know if I will live to see it happen, but I am seeing the seeds being planted. The younger generation is waking up to the realities of a state that is rooted in racism, genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, occupation, European white supremacy and settler colonialism. Israel needs to be dealt with in the same way apartheid South Africa was dismantled.

Seeing as 47% of Gaza’s population is 18 or younger, 68% is under the age of 30 and the last election in Gaza was 2006. The vast majority of Gaza did not vote for Hamas. It would be a lot harder to justify the genocide without the de facto but Hamas argument wouldn’t it.

I don't think you understand that this is the very real duality for many - perhaps most? - American Jews. We know that Israel is the only place on earth that will take us. We know that Israel's existence is very important. And also what Israel is doing right now is completely unjustifiable. It's morally bunk. I think Israel was right to respond to Oct 7 - but what's happening now? No! No! It doesn't seem related to Hamas or the hostages - it truly now seems like trying to exterminate Palestinians, and that is WRONG. I don't think that believing in Israel means not seeing how bad this is.
