If Hamas surrenders unconditionally, perhaps they can still have a 2 state solution but it will look a fair sight worse than what they could have gotten in 1999.

Israel has never had much foresight, just tunnel vision. Netanyahu is destroying the country piece by piece and biting off more than he can chew by going into Syria.

IDF cannot handle Hamas or Hezbollah on the ground. They can't stop the impoverished famine stricken Yemen from sending long range missiles hundreds of miles away.

Without the US handholding, Israel would be in major trouble and it still is. Netanyahu is a huge klutz. He can't find the hostages or beat Hamas and Hamas is given a false humanitarian image just by default of Israel's hyper militarism.
