Arafat was not a snake. He saw what Egypt and Israel did and wanted something like that to make bygones bygones and put peace ahead of violence but Mr Bibi had other plans and proudly reduced /squandered the deal and listened in on phone sex between Bill and Monica, a Mossad spy according to international media. The West Bank that exists now with Bibi towns /settlements can hardly be a Called a state but that was the grand bargain supposedly offered for Palestinians to make a great deal.

If Arafat didn’t die , there’s no way Hamas would’ve won the election in Gaza as well . Watching paint dry is more exciting than watching Mahmoud Abbas , the defunct and largely ignored Palestinian President with zero footprint on the world stage or in negotiations. Hamas quickly took reins in Gaza and won an election because even when masked their speeches were better than his.
