Maybe he thought that so many people didn’t like Charles & that if he killed him then people would admire him.

Because I have heard of copycat behaviors……..

There are probably fan letters getting sent to SLC too. Because Kirk was tied to orange, more less reporting about that stuff.

No because only half of America would admire the Kirk shooter. Whereas Luigi has way more fan potential because the vast majority of Americans hate our health insurance system and of that a subset of those folks have been denied services. I had a protracted battle with an insurance company. I hope Luigi’s acquitted!

I had a protracted battle with my special needs kid’s school.

I’ll bring a gun and mask next time.

He faces a possible life sentence if convicted in New York state court, and the Justice Department announced in April that it will seek the death penalty against Mangione in its federal murder case against him.

And geez his two rows of supporters inside and a crowd outside. Who are these women?!

Death penalty will never happen.

Bondi and her band of shits are not great at details. Same with Patel and his band of clowns. They will be lucky if they get a federal conviction at all.

Going for the death penalty is stupid. It forces the to spend a lot of time on some of the weakest elements of their case and increases the likihood he walks away entirely.

I think you're confusing the state terrorism charge with what makes the federal charges a capital offense- the use of a silencer.

They've got a pretty clear path to it, and it doesn't require them to prove any more than they otherwise would. Just the use of a silencer, which they would want to do because that's how the federal charges get to mandatory life in prison.

Now we have a nice straightforward premeditated murder case and trial.
Planned, plotted, executed, inscribed bullets, bag with fake money, escape and manhunt.

NY didn't really want to prove it, but they wanted to keep it on the table to maintain relevancy compared to the federal charges.

Without the terrorism charge, Mangione will be eligible for parole, eventually, on the state charges. The federal case will almost certainly yield a life sentence without parole. As a result, Mangione will likely end up serving his sentence in federal prison.
