Yes they do and they are better than Loudoun U13.

LOL! Man you must be smokin' something good!

They were both in same tournament recently one team (FCV) won their bracket and advanced to the final. One team (Loudoun) finished third out four in their bracket.

Head to head Loudoun beat them 3 out of 3 times. Two of the games were both 10-0. Coach had a rule to stop trying at 10. Get over it.

You should worry about playing DA not Loudoun. The FCV 07 DA team is the worst in the club. Move on.

You should be worried about more of your players switching teams from Loudoun to FCV. Pretty soon you won’t even be able to tie Mclean 0-0 anymore. Then you can still talk about how good you used to when you played 7 v 7 on a small field.

That switching teams from Loudoun to FCV all but ended with the 06's. FCV's last decent team.

DA 2008 - I think FCV and Arlington will battle to be middle of the pack. Metro won't even have a team.

My prediction.

nice prediction except the fact that Loudoun is already a elite team. Next year girls will come and get recruited to a already good team.

VDA? Why because VSA beat mediocre teams in WAGS in the second flight of wags? let’s not even talk about PWSI they been crashing non stop.

what happens if the girls from Richmond Strikers don’t pursue ECNL? will Richmond United be a bad team? what if no 2008 girls decides to do ECNL and we all protest this whole ECNL/DA

In Richmond on the girls side the United teams are ECNL and are mostly Strikers players. On the boys side United is a DA program and it's mostly kickers players.

I still believe the girls are a elite team sometimes you just have a bad tournament. Don’t forget Arlington red was number 1 for a long time and won’t be too long before strikers lose top position as well

So I saw the red team play at WAGS and OBGC. This is not a trash talking post. They are good athletes but a large percentage of the players are over their heads when facing better soccer players of similar athleticism and size. Many of the Arlington players lack either the technical skills or soccer iq(spatial awareness) or both. The overall play is not good(ie movement off the ball, too linear, lack of creativity, speed of play, first touch and unable to complete passes under pressure). The CCL is a very weak league and does not give you a good picture of what you have.

This is not a one time thing. The teams you played in the OBGC were a flight above you and they lost. The Baltimore Shamrocks got rocked and Baltimore Celtics(you did not play but easily won the OBGC tournament) did not show well - ie the teams in the flight above you at WAGS are a lot better vs Arlington. Playing the second bracket means you will not get enough points to keep up with other teams. You will not be in the top flight of the Jeff cup ...maybe 4th to 6th flight.

So I have a younger DD in your age and an older one. Been through the ECNL u13 year which will be similar to DA u13. There are maybe 3-4 girls on your team who are safe for next year. It’s pretty obvious who they are. The other girls(right now) are not starting DA caliber and Arlington will try to replace them. Your top 3-4 will be recruited because of your tournament history and teams falling ranking since last year’s Jeff cup showing. Go into next year with your eyes opened.

This. They have a center back, a goalie, and one passable forward. Their strikers and center mids can't field a ball without fouling or going to the turf. They have a really young female coach and some old guy that is practically asleep on the sidelines as their assistant... I bet the rest of the team is gone within two years.... Arlington, McLean and Loudoun are the old guard -- VSA and PWSI with their superior coaching, player pool, and field space -- are the future.

ALL HAIL PWSI AND VSA TEAMS OF THE FUTURE

If you have time to watch Arlington at WAGS go to Capital Cup to see Loudon, Arlington and McLean play against each other.

But, your comments on which players are skilled in Arlington are laughable . .

We won't be at at NCC to watch, but I doubt Arlington plays McLean as that would mean Arlington advances out of the bracket, which is highly unlikely.

And if my assessment is so laughable, do tell why...

Not the pp but really? It does not really take more than a few minutes observing Arlington players to know they are not a skilled based team. There are like three field players who are okay. Two have size and athleticism but still need to develop foot skills. The third has some pretty good skills but gets lost in Arlington’s style of play. The rest you can have. Did Arlington just lose to Stoddert? Loudoun beat them what 5-1? You best hope you do not get put in to a top flight at a big tournament. Those teams have moved way beyond Arlington.

Look the team was a good u11 team but things have changed. I would worry if your kid is not in the top three. Arlington will make changes. I bet the TD is already evaluating everyone(coach and all the players) on that team.

Word is that Arlington has been bringing in TD and other coaches to try and turn things around because current coach is clueless. Talk about a team in crisis - can't win more than a game at a tournament, loses to Stoddert, and coach now has to be coached. Meanwhile next week, they are set up to be beaten by Loudoun and probably a Pitt team that isn't in the top 1000 in the country... Don't be surprised if everyone from the team - players and coach is gone next year. Best will leave for a functioning program, and the others will be demoted as Arlington tries a hard reset after a disastrous season.

It seem like their coach’s style is long ball to the wings and have the fast girls chase it down. Only problem is the girls chasing it down just do not have the skill to finish 75% of the time. They also do not pass well. I do not know if the girls do not see the open player in front of the goal(soccer IQ), will not pass to the open girl(don’t get like each other/jealousy) or can’t pass(lack of skill). It kind of looks like all of those apply at various times. I wonder if the style is driven by the coach or by the players...or maybe both?

Next year they will be a DA team so will have a new coach. And I bet 75% of the team is the same and moves up to DA. There will probably be 5-6 new kids who will wander over to take the remaining spots. Once they start to get DA training they will be fine.

You can always dream, but until then it is a dumpster fire.... just watch a game if you have any doubt.

All of the 2008 teams are a dumpster fire. I have a 2008 DD and have seen all of them play. Not a single one is going to be lighting the world on fire.

F@ck. Ha. You are new at this. You seriously think a coach at Arlington da is going to transform the talent pool that other Arlington coaches could not? They have never ever been known as talent developers, just recruiters. Get your kid trained elsewhere in the early years instead of beating your chest about unimportant u9/10/11 wins. This is what happens when you can’t see the forest for the trees.
