| The spirit VA will not get better unless there are some MAJOR changes |
Such as? |
Rebrand BRYC as Spirit and instantly become a force. That easy. Talent changes everything. Let's not overthink this. Just one way. |
| It’s highly likely Spirit ID sessions will attract more players this year-especially from BRYC and FCV as they have two major figures now playing pivotal leadership roles at Spirit. It just stands to reason, though time will tell.. |
???????? You really believe that? Never |
| I don't think anyone will try out at Spirit with the current situation - Staff. The only way u start to pull from bRYC McLean and FCV is if u hire their staff. |
Also I'm curious what metric we are saying is being used for better. Better is a broad statement, is it better as in wins/score, or better as in player development. I personally believe from what I saw, the coaching staff was successful in making some players better. Which is what I believe they were more focused on, my observation was winning games was not a primary concern. I'm not saying it's good to lose games, or to look less competitive by results, of scores and games. I'm sincerely just curious, without a measurable goal for what's better it's hard to say if there were any improvements. |
| ^^^Umm hello-Larry Best from BRYC and Christian Cziommer from FCV are now at Spirit. Doesn’t that constitute a “hiring of their staff?” |
|
Fine.
Rebrand FCV as Spirit Or Rebrand BRYC as Spirit Or Rebrand McLean as Spirit But nobody is giving up their player pool or merging their player pool for the betterment of Spirit. |
|
Unless spirit announces an official partnership with fCV those players will not be suiting up for the Spirit, at BRYC Larry had started to phase out, impacts the 2006 age group but the rest won't be jumping to join him.
I am not saying it can't happen but Best would have to have a clear out and bring in 1-2 important coaches from each club. |
| Unles there is a significant shift in the talent pool, nothing will change |
And what is in it for BRYC who already has successful teams in a respected showcase league? |
Neither will have direct contact or influence on day to day academy operations. So I don't see how their presence in non youth coaching capacities will somehow draw any talent from FCV or BRYC. |
| It’s more about player preference for ECNL vs. DA. As long as there is the rule about no high school soccer for DA players then both leagues will continue to exist. |
| Could spirit Va combine with someone for ECNL and keep their DA in MD.... |
