Boundary Review Meetings

Imagine not understanding how many families are anxious about this.

They don’t!!! I went to a community meeting and expressed that anxiety was high. The consultant just said to “not tell the kids” as if they would be oblivious to all this craziness.

The consultants are unqualified for the task.

BRAC selection process was poor.

The Superintendent and SB are responsible for the mess and they should be reminded of that by all residents who are concerned about schools by email and at the meetings.

Right? I sent my email this morning. And October 10th was their own self imposed deadline. It’s crazy that it was not met, but what really has me fired up is the lack of communication. We should have gotten an email yesterday informing of the delay. It’s just wild that they thought it was acceptable to just not send an update yesterday evening.

I think the fact BRAC also hasn't seen any maps (when they were supposed to be released to them on the 7th) is proof this goes beyond some "website malfunction".

Agreed. It’s insane that they’re treating the BRAC like that. Those are our representatives. And they’re treating them like garbage. The contempt they show for families is just really disappointing.

This right here. Our pocket has been so worried. We have a number of 6th and 8th graders who have a big transition coming up and no word on what that will look like… and yes, the kids are worried too because they’re old enough to understand.

And seeing how much miscommunication there was between Thru and BRAC for addressing their feedback and establishing next steps, this review was clearly something that needed more than a PowerPoint and some change logs to assess.

I get about a dozen emails a week from FCPS with nonsense info, and they can't send out one more with info that people actually want????

It's not clear they've even realized a deadline was missed.

"October 11 Update: We apologize for the delay in posting the updated maps. We are continuing to work to resolve an issue with the Boundary Explorer Tool, and we expect the maps to be posted today. Thank you for your patience."

I’ll believe it when I see it

Why wasn’t this sent out in a communication?

Because they’re incompetent, and/or resentful that people are actually paying attention.

I think they're embarrassed to admit THRU is a disaster.

The process has been a farce from the beginning, the logical course of action is for everyone to unify in a call to shut it down now.

Now taking all guesses for what time “today” is.
