There is a meeting tonight at which more information presumably will be shared.

Easy to see that was the case when Twain Middle wasn’t on the list of schools affected. I wonder if they’ll add 6th to BMP because Holmes is a 6-8 middle and Key is 7-8. And then I wonder if they’ll backfill Holmes with kids from Poe and/or Glasgow(?)

Looks like they’ll just add 6th to Bren Mar Park in order to send it to Key and Lewis.

Is there not an elementary school in the West Springfield pyramid that could be moved to Lewis instead with K - 6? Seems like so many unnecessary changes to move Bren Mar. Plus they'll either pass Edison HS or have to take 395 to get to Lewis.
Or another ES that's currently in the Edison pyramid?

Wow they came up with all these moves and just decided to do nothing. LOL. Meanwhile Edison actually does need some kids to be moved out.

Reid can't answer the question about what is being tabled. She keeps asking staff. She doesn't know what's going on.

Reid just threw the school board under the bus when a lady asked about the transportation of phased/grandfathered students. Said it's their decision and they can't afford a $10 million price tag.

One Lewis mom is complaining that the school won't get any new kids in this process and want some students from other schools sent there immediately. So maybe those Rolling Valley kids will stay at WSHS.

Also, Reid said they're going to look at stopping transfers out of Lewis. Maybe getting rid of IB? She didn't say.

I wouldn't say she's complaining. She was advocating for her school that the school board is turning it's back on. Nothing is being done to fix Lewis now. That's a serious problem. The school is severely unenrolled and no one is doing anything.
