It's obvious. And quite sad.

Couldn't cut it?

I am confused people keep talking about scouting DA.

Yet--this cannot be the Club DA (mclean, arl, Loudoun, etc). The boys club DAs in this area all phase out before the kids are 14. U14. The kids I know that are now 2003s are heading back to Club soccer because they've aged out of Club DA. Very few, at all, make the next phase of 'real DA'.

This is just the 'real' DA correct when people talk about playing time stats. Nobody gives a shit how many minutes a 12/13 year old is playing-- DAU12-13-14.

women's soccer in this country is going downhill at lightning speed because they started copying how we develop the boys.

Look how quickly the other countries are beginning to catch up and outpace our women. Got their asses handed them at the Olympics and whined that the Swedes weren't playing pretty.

newsflash ladies: don't' follow the men's system in this country. you were doing better before.

Mia Hamm is still the best woman's US soccer player of all time. I don't care how long ago she played. Michelle Akers was up there too.

I wouldn't be so convinced the women of the 80s/early 90s would lose out today.

^^The best women are also now beginning this country to play in Europe vs NWSL

It's a ploy to try to draw more players from outside the area to the Club. Recruitment tactic.

Training no better. If you have a good trainer/competitive team and are happy--I'd stay put.

The boys thing being referred to is 'pre-DA'. Only the Clubs try to make it sound super important by calling it the exact same thing "DA". Further, this boy faux-Club DA has zero correlation to making it to real DA when the boys are older.
