Yesterday, I saw an older woman (the grandmother?) driving a car with a younger woman (her daughter?) in the passenger seat and a very young child in a carseat in the back. The older woman was SMOKING with the windows in the car rolled up, short of the driver's window being cracked open a smidge. When they stopped at a traffic light in front of me, I seriously wanted to drag the driver from her car and smack her silly. They then pulled into the same hospital parking lot I was driving to - they went right and I went left. Had I a) not been running late for a doctor's appointment and b) not had my toddler in the car with me, I would followed them to their parking space and gone on a diatribe about the dangers of second hand smoke on a baby. WTH was she thinking?? |
Posts about judging others that have grammatically incorrect subject lines. Judge not, lest ye.... |
Ditto PP. And people who use the word smidge in one sentence and then the phrase smack her silly in the next.
Obviously it is wrong to smoke in a car with kids, but people do stupid sh*t all the time, we all do, just in our own special ways. |
People who mismanage money
People who choose career over family Over-indulgent parents Fat parents with fat kids the list goes on. |
"... I would followed them to their parking space and gone on a diatribe about the dangers of second hand smoke on a baby."
Would you really? |
What the hell were you thinking? Who are you to go and tell someone what they can and can not do? I am sorry, but you would have certainly crossed a line. |
Ditto! I am so guilty of judging fat parents with fat kids. I'm also judgmental of people who feed their kids junk regardless of whether the kids are fat or not. I'm not talking about using white breat instead of organing multigrain, I'm talking about people who have a candy drawer/shelf or who give small kids soda and twinkies daily. |
I might give the finger to a litterbug, but not going to chase them down and cuss them out in person. relax and mind your own business. |
Me too. I get so upset when I see fat kids. And I hate that people reward kids with food, especially sugar and junk. And it starts when they're only toddlers! I mean, giving your kid candy for using the toilet?? Seriously?? It's conditioning them for a lifetime of unhealthy emotional associations with food: If I do a good job, I should get to eat candy & junk. If I'm feeling bad or sad, candy will make me feel better. Do people not realize this is what they're teaching their kids by rewarding or comforting them with junk food? |
You have no way of knowing whether the people you've decided to judge have great family lives along with their careers. |

My list:
Control freaks. Narcissists. People who are too judgmental. |
People who only bath their toddler every two to three weeks. |
uneducated, inarticulate people
people who obsess over their spouse's fidelity parents with unkempt or unruly kids |
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Yeah, I agree. And I also judge parents who let kids eat whatever they want. When I see a toddler drinking soda, I feel like slapping the mom. On the other hand, micro managing everything a child eats and not leaving any wiggle room also annoys me. Taking care of a child's diet is one thing, but a cupcake at a birthday party is not gonna kill (NO, the child was not allergic). I think there can always be a happy balance. I also judge over indulgent parents, parent's that can't say no and parent's that give in when a child starts crying. Please, grow a pair. |
