4:35 - 6:08 She has fewer right than a prisoner. Basically no rights even though she's capable having a career. 7:02 To be forced into a conservatorship, you have to show that the person has the inability to properly provide for their own basic needs such as food, health, clothing, and shelter. You cannot manage your own financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence. 19:55 Britney's activities while under the conservatorship show that she is in a different place than in 2008 so why is she still a ward? If you don't want to watch multiple sections, just watch 19:55 |
Not sure Britney can manage her own financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence. Remember Sam Lufti? |

New poster here. It was the night of the 5150, I don’t think she threatened to drown them both but she refused to let anyone in. She was taken out in the ambulance. |
The ambulance part is required for a 5150. |
Yes, but that was in 2008. And again, there are less restrictive means of keeping an eye on finances. And honestly, Jodi Montgomery sounds pretty damn shady as well. |
+1 That was well over a decade ago and tons of people get taken advantage of far worse than that and don't get put under a conservatorship. This whole thing reads like, she made a couple mistakes in her early 20's so now she has to be "managed" by men. It's very Handmaid's Tale. What's this? She shaved her head? Obviously she isn't of sound mind and needs to be told when she can and cannot go to the doctor! |

We don't know that she is capable of having a career. A person can sing, dance, play a sport and be mentally incapacitated. She makes enough money in her chosen career to afford people to handle all of the stuff to make it work, but it doesn't mean she is in any way of handling it on her own.

Why is the burden of proof on her rather than on those controlling and profiting off of her? They should have to prove that the conservatorship is necessary (and that does not include just “better for her” {by their or your standards} but NECESSARY…) |
How do you know they haven’t? None of this is public |
Because that's what's required by law. DId you even watch the lawyer video? |
Yes, I knew about her locking herself in the bathroom. I should have specified my post was in response to the part about her threatening to drown her baby. |
I did watch the video. I don't see your point? I'm saying we don't know what's happened in court and who's had to prove what. Because we weren't there. And neither was video guy. Based on her statement, it DOES seem like her lawyer didn't give her all of the information she should have had. But video lawyer mentioned the roles in a conservatorship are confusing. |
| What happens next with this?? I’m rooting for Britt to finally be free! |
She made $60M already. Why does she still have to have a career if she’s not capable of it? Just to keep her grifting family in the style to which they’ve become accustomed? |
