That was well over a decade ago and tons of people get taken advantage of far worse than that and don't get put under a conservatorship.  This whole thing reads like, she made a couple mistakes in her early 20's so now she has to be "managed" by men.  It's very Handmaid's Tale.  What's this?  She shaved her head?  Obviously she isn't of sound mind and needs to be told when she can and cannot go to the doctor![/quote]
