How did she bait him? I don’t see any reference to him on her Insta(?)

The Republican president sounded off on Twitter minutes after the Democratic governor appeared on MSNBC, where she discussed her executive orders to close schools, restaurants, bars, casinos and other businesses in response to the potentially deadly virus.

When asked, Whitmer also chided Trump for his suggestion that when it comes to ventilators, respirators and other medical equipment, governors should "try getting it yourselves."

"To hear the leader of the federal government tell us to work around the federal government because it's too slow, it's kind of mind-boggling to be honest," the governor said.

His unhinged tweets were real time reaction to her appearance this morning on MSNBC.

You know he's legitimately worried about how good-looking she is b/c he's obsessed with finding people who are "straight from central casting." If Trump could, he'd pay Gretchen a boatload of $$ to make her a republican so she could run with him on the ticket.

Plus he's driven mad that he has no material to attack Gretchen Whitmer with, ex. Indian thing with Liz Warren. Gretchen looks like a normal attractive well-spoken mom from the Midwest.

Yeah. Y’all get bullied out of that combo no matter what. Affirmative action it is.

As it should be. There are better candidates who would play well in the Midwest who are also women.

Mike Duggan is sneaky smart. Looks like a stocky schmuck but he’s so damn clever and politically astute. First white guy elected to mayor of 90% black Detroit in 50 years?

We need someone with the experience necessary to become President. Mayors need not apply.

First, there is no "experience necessary to become President."

Second, mayors have a TON of executive experience -- the REAL kind of executive experience where they are held accountable everyday by their citizens. Contrast that with a tv show "executive" who is accountable to a producer and a few family members (if that).

Let's be real. The "experience" needed is sound mind, good judgment, and willingness to SERVE for the good of ALL the people. Mayors are certainly good candidates.

A good leader can hire experts in various fields. A good leader takes advice from experts, considers it in light of the needs of the people and the situation, and makes a reasoned decision. A president doesn't have to have foreign relations experience or even national experience. All of that can be hired or learned. But, a good leader is willing to learn from experts.

Biden said it'd be a woman -- I'd bet it's down to: Warren, Klobuchar or Gretchen Whitmer. There's a reason MSDNC is featuring Whitmer right now...and why she caught Trump's attention this morning.

So ... a state legislator doesn't have enough experience but mayor does and picking a governor would be affirmative action. I wonder why that is?

Stop trying to make Duggan happen. Don't worry darling, white men won't be forgotten forever. One day they'll finally, FINALLY, get the chance to prove that they, too, can do the job.

Picking someone not known to the public would be a disaster. And I am a huge Biden fan. And don't pick the newest shiny object. Sarah Palin anyone?

Klobuchar is my pick.

I think Harris is still in the mix.

I wrote this and don't even know who Duggan is!

It's Amy. It was settled a couple of weeks ago.

Whitmer isn't even top 9, according to gambling odds... seems Harris has it sewed up?

Odds to be Joe Biden's Vice Presidential Running Mate:

Kamala Harris +135
Amy Klobuchar +300
Stacy Abrams +500
Tammy Duckworth +700
Elizabeth Warren +950
Michelle Obama +2000
Catherine Cortez Masto +2500
Michelle Lujan Grisham +3000
Pete Buttigieg +5000
