SYC

If all the SYC players go to LMVSC and they play against SYC next year, would they win again, like they did in the ASIST tournament? Probably—because they’d be better coached.

If parents were at the tryouts you could see that those kids are very talented and played at a slightly higher level. You cannot compare apples to oranges. The system is completely changing and it looks like for the better. I would give it a year unless parents egos can't handle the changes!

Honestly, I don't know how many of the kids would actually get first team offers at different clubs. Except at LMVSC, which I would not recommend right now...

Good morning, Pepe! Ok, sure, whatever...

OP here, Sorry buddy I'm not Pepe! You really think he waists time coming into a random parent forum? haha.

Probably not...

LMVSC Boys Red rank #2 in the state, SYC Boys Blue rank #11 besides the coach is at SYC now!

From what I hear LMVSC doesn't have enough players to make a top team so they are moving players from B team up.

Honestly, try another Club like, SYA, CYA, McLean, Alexandria, Arlington, etc. You would be better off than at LMVSC right now.

This was not done in SYC prior to Este's arrival and I don't believe it was done at LMVSC while Este was there. To be honest, rare is the club that does this (which is too bad because I think it would benefit the club/kids greatly). And I am not trying to bash either club - this is just a statement of fact.

I don’t understand the mindset that the kids are getting bumped if their team was already playing at a second tier level. Wouldn’t their team still be playing at that level? The only thing changing is the color of the team right? If the club absorbs part or most of a higher level team that team would be playing at a different level than the current team already. Nothing changes for the current players unless they are don’t make the same level team that they are already playing with.

Exactly!

Even some of the blue players have tryout for LMVSC in the past and didn't make their top team then. So yes, they are playing at the right level.

I wish they had made a "Purple" top team, so parents wouldn't be so obsessed with colors! LOL.

Don’t have enough at 2005? What age group are you “hearing” lmvsc do not have enough players to make a top team?

Estimate... from hearing parents on those teams:

Girls: 2005, 2006, 2007,2008,2009
Boys: 2003,2004,2005,2007, 2009,2010

The things you "hear" when you have multiple children playing!

Almost all of 2009 top team girls are staying at LMVSC so at least that info is wrong.
