We were told who our new coach is and that would be providing us with a game plan after our next practice.

My child is also so unhappy about the coach change. And I can't say I am exactly beside myself with excitement. We are working hard to keep an open mind but I'd be lying if I were to say that I didn't scope out some other clubs' websites today.

I hadn't heard about the NPL thing.

Just pulled up the standings and can't say I am surprised. Not the best performance, although it looks like 08B Blue did well.

No way that they would just kick out a club after 1 year just for results. I continue hearing organization issues as the main problem. Also heard they were putting some top teams in EDP and not NPL, probably why the lower results and possibly why NPL wasn't happy.

Sorry to hear, such a drastic change mid-year. Nearby clubs would be happy to take a look. From other page, sounds like other parents opted to take siblings elsewhere.

Organization issues with whom? You mean within SYC? Just did a quick check of the EDP site (boys only) and didn't see any SYC teams registered, but the website is not the best and I was scrolling quickly, so I could have missed them.

There were definitely some of the girls top teams in EDP.

Some teams were told they'd do NPL first, and depending how they did there they might move up to EDP in the future. It was clear the club thought of EDP (1st div) as a higher level than NPL. Hard to argue with that really.

Looks like 08, 05, 04 had Blue (top teams) in EDP but 07 and 06 had Orange (second team). I'm sure NPL wasn't happy with the club's top 2 teams playing elsewhere.

Yes with SYC. Boys were there if you go to Fall 2018

Have the coaches that were let go signed else where?

I haven't heard anything. Did a few internet searches to see if their names pop up anywhere but nothing yet. It is not an easy time of year to line up another coaching gig, let alone another TD job.

Wonder if getting kicked out of NPL(if it is true) was the nail in the coffin for Lee...I can understand why NPL would be pissed to be used as a stepping stone.
