Doesn’t feel good for any Jewish convention goer to be trapped behind a cordon of riot police in full combat gear, just to save you from that mob. Or any Jewish American.

Two things

1) on the right, you have the confederate anti-semitic MAGAs and on the "left" you have these people. But these people are essentially being funded by Iran to create divisiveness. They are out of step where the Democrats are as a party, and
2) these people aren't going to be voting for Harris, so who cares. They have a right to protest and free speech.

If anything, these people are isolating themselves from everyone politically in the US.

Governor Gavin Newsom

Not viable on the national stage, move on.

It makes me a little mad - ok a lot mad actually - at the way he was just pushed out of the running by the big donors and party insiders. It was shameful the way he was treated. I really have a lot of anger over it that I haven’t processed. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but last night reignited my rage over how President Biden has been treated the last month.

And I’m not goin to lie, there’s a cynical bitter streak inside me that would be highly amused and perhaps even a little satisfied to see Trump win, as a fitting punishment for what the party insiders and big donors did to Joe.

That cynical part of you is not honoring what Biden wants.

That's what I would have said about Kamala, but she just might pull this off...

That cynical part of you is not honoring what Biden wants.

That cynical part is also not truly thinking through whether Joe Biden was physically and mentally capable of effectively running the country for the next 4 years.

I know someone who is at the convention right now. They put a pix up in social media. HOLY COW. I squinted and enlarged the photo to see if I could say any areas with empty seats. Nope.

It.Is.Packed. Even the nose bleed seats.

1. Biden never should have announced the race/sex requirements for his VP pick. If he wanted Harris he should have just picked her and let her merits stand alone. By making that preemptive announcement it put a taint on her that she wasn't necessarily the best person for the job.
2. If Biden was planning to drop out, which I doubt because he fought it tooth and nail, it obviously should have been done much earlier.
3. Once he dropped out and the party decided on Harris, it's time to sell her to the public and that means interviews, public events, press conferences. "She's busy" doesn't cut it.

Are we voting for her so she can fix what the previous administration screwed up, the Biden-Harris administration?

? Do you know what the VP does? They don't have their own agenda separate from the POTUS.

shoulda woulda coulda.

But, he dropped out 100 days or so before the election. There was no time to go through a primary vote for all 50 states, and then hit the campaign trail for the general.

I'm not a fan of Harris, but she and Walz have certainly energized Dems, and others. Look at the crowd size. LOL

And? That was his rank in the army.

Are you stupid?

Walz Slammed by Former Battalion Leader: ‘He Did Not Earn the Rank’

https://www.thedailybeast.com/tim-walz-slammed-by-former-battalion-commander-he-did-not-earn-the-rank

The former battalion commander of Tim Walz’s National Guard unit launched a scathing attack on the Minnesota governor over his military rank, according to reports.

John Kolb, who became lieutenant colonel of Walz’s battalion a few months after Walz’s retirement, posted on Facebook adding to those criticisms, according to DailyMail.com. Kolb appeared to be reacting to Walz’s use of the rank of command sergeant major.

“He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9,” Kolb reportedly wrote. “It is an affront to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps that he continues to glom onto the title. I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot. Similarly, when the demands of service and leadership at the highest level got real, he chose another path.”

Former batallion leader is a MAGA nut who is claiming his 15 minutes of fame.

Fact: Walz earned the rank
Fact: Walz retired more than a year before his troop deployed
Fact: Walz didn't finish the course work to retire with the rank
Fact: Walz served honorably for 24 years

He owes nothing to the military, he served his time.

Citation needed for “Walz earned the rank.” Which rank did he earn?

You can’t spell battalion correctly so the odds of you having military experience is low.

Citation that Bn Commander is a MAGA nut claiming fame.

Remind me, Trump served in which branch of the military? And for how long? And, through his military service, he earned which rank?

So back to the convention - I wept, I felt proud, I felt hopeful. A great first night.
