There is no such thing as a successful working mom (or dad). Kids are being raised by someone who is likely not minding their own kids because they have to watch another working mom's kids. Outsourcing parenting, especially when kids are young, doesn't make one a successful working mom or dad. |
The Boomer generation is proof that staying home to raise children doesn’t make you a successful parent, either. There is so much psychological damage in this generation from being raised by people that had to pop Valium and start cocktails promptly at 5 pm just to get through the tedium of their days. And that was when this society valued women as homemakers as much as they ever did or would. |
Have you ever heard of something called work happy hours? Let me be the first to break the news to you: people who work 9-5 jobs aren’t happy and drink and pop pills to drown their misery as well. |
This 100%! The happiest women are those who are wage slaves to corporations who extort their labor and then lay them off in their 50s when they’re no longer needed. It’s so more rewarding to work for people who could care less if you got cancer or died if it didn’t impact their bottom line than spending more time with family members who love you. USA! USA! You all have swallowed this capitalist BS hook line and sinker. |
But just for men, right? Women will should never experience career accomplishment satisfaction or focus on a passion outside of the home. Because their lives are solely defined by how they serve their husband and families. |
He has mommy issues. I'm sure of it. |
Then why did he choose a profession that calls him away from home months on end? LOL what a dummy and hypocrite, him and you all who agree with him. |
+1 practice what you preach. So sad how you people who agree with him don't see that. |
Isn't it wonderful to be so keenly aware of the life circumstances of someone you had never even heard of a week ago? You are so special. |
It's the same as being a "weekend" dad who thinks taking his child to the park and supermarket is parenting. |
WTF? He lives in the city where he plays. What makes you think he is away from home for months on end? |
It's quite telling about your mental health that you are so triggered by what some random guy said about something that does not affect you. |
|
Whoa…. Slow down people, my only question (once again) is that even if we agree with him for a minute, what does he propose to make it happen?
It’s fine and dandy as a multimillionaire to preach such things but with the price of living right now, groceries anyone? mortgage rates? college? majority families don’t have the option to have the mom stay at home. There are no supports being provided by conservatives to encourage “family unit”, only thing I hear is lecture. Start by making life more affordable on one income and then we can talk. How out of touch you have to be to get on the podium and assume that everyone has the same options and privilege as you! |
I am a teacher. Do you want us to stay home, too? |
It's your choice. |
