My STBX went home after the birth of our son - home was fifteen minutes away - to pick up some things, including food. He ended up falling asleep and came back five hours later.

When DD was 3 weeks old he decided to stay in a hotel for two nights so he could get enough sleep for a recreational softball tournament. He’s really into softball...so I said it was ok, but I still think it’s ridiculous.

I had a medical procedure which required anesthesia and DH (my boyfriend at the time) brought me home. I was really out of it and sleepy. He left me alone to go pick up mail from his office. I woke up and was throwing up and didn't know where he was.

It was a red flag I should have paid more attention to, but I married him anyway. He's been by my side for any other medical issue I've had since then.

I had a major surgery and was in the hospital for five days. When I got home, he was pissed, and I mean really angry, that I asked him to bring food upstairs (one flight) to the bedroom for me. And I'm talking a popsicle one time and a pudding cup another time. I called my mom and she came and got me and I stayed with her for three weeks. We had been married two years at the time. Oh, and prior to marriage I had nursed him through a broken leg and then later a general health ailment.
