Haha, this thread revives every year. I remember 90s and 00's capris, and they were like tailored pants, abbreviated. Yes, Audrey Hepburn cigarette pants. So it took an ingenue gazelle to make that look good.

Then I saw that men were beginning to wear capris. Tbh, it looks good on the men who dare to do it.

I wear some pants that are shorter. I have some that are loose, drapey like palazzo but not so wide, showing some ankle and they are flattering!! Also linen summery beach pants that are straight leg. I am tall with good legs, nice ankles.. I am not perfect. 15 pounds overweight and long torso (I love high waist!!)

I still disagree ... if you are doing something like a spring break trip to Disney, or hiking with the family, touring Yellowstone, etc., this is a totally legitimate choice and will often look more put together than some of the other options, particularly with a high quality tee and the right sneakers or sandals. It's a sporty, athletic look, that looks really good on some women in some contexts:

I like the capris. But I think the tapered in kind are the least flattering on most bodies.

Who cares if they look good or not? It’s hot and people want to be comfortable. I can’t imagine looking at someone and caring about their clothing.

I think that a subset of woman are very invested in their appearance. When other women don’t care, it’s like they are thumbing their nose, I mean thick calves at the establishment.

Wow before I got to the photo I thought for sure we were going to be looking at a pair of cropped pants, maybe a little higher than in recent years, but yup those are legitimately capris. And they look hideous on Bella Hadid. Nice of her to demonstrate how unflattering they are even on an actual super model, so the civilians out here don't have ponder the trend.
