FCPS Skyview Boundary Scenario 1/2/3

Coates and McNair stay at Westfield so there's no need to backfill.

Oh look, it's an Oak Hill or Floris mom who doesn't want the riff raf in her kid's school. Wow, racist much?

They should but now Navy Oakton kids are getting rezoned there because Franklin MS is suddenly getting an elementary school that hasn’t been there in years and has priority apparently when they could just stay at Carson. Proximity doesn’t matter to these folks (they’re willing to commute all the way out to Oakton) so explain to me why should they all get moved over to Franklin while Navy kids will be split to different middle schools?

THIS IS NOT WHY YOU ARE GETTING PUSHED OUT OF FRANKLIN. GIVE IT A REST.

As NUMEROUS people have told you. Crossfield and Oak Hill cancel each other out. This has nothing to do with Navy.

Explain why we are getting pushed out of Franklin then? And sent to Rocky Run which pushes others out of Rocky Run?

Really? They don't seem that annoying to me.

+1 all because they don’t want to be rezoned to Rocky Run and then go on to Oakton with hardly any peers? I see. So it’s ok for other schools except crossfield to be split at middle schools.

I assumed they were going to Chantilly from Rocky Run.

Yes obviously you assumed wrong. Crossfield doesn’t care who they hurt in the process as long as they get to stick together at Franklin and go on to Oakton together. Crossfield needs to go back to Carson.

No shit, sherlock. I said I made a mistake. And again, as multiple people have told you, Crossfield and Oak Hill cancel each other out. There's no need to blame someone else. You sound unhinged. Contact your school board member to complain.

I don't know, why don't you contact someone at Gatehouse and ask them? Go get a drink, you need one.

Really? The one mom going on and on about how Crossfield is the reason her kid is getting rezoned to Navy isn't annoying? She's completely ignoring the fact that Oak Hill is getting zoned out of Franklin, and without it, Franklin will be at 80-something percent capacity There's plenty of room for the 2-3 classes of Crossfield kids there. The reason Navy kids are getting rezoned to Rocky Run is because Rocky Run is the primary Chantilly feeder, not because of Crossfield. Anyway, we'll see where Crossfield ends up. Almost everyone I've talked to would prefer to stay at Carson.

Why do you assume its just one mom? Because that position disagrees with yours, and of course everyone else must agree with you?
Crossfield should be Carson--Skyview, based on the map and common sense.

She keeps saying the same thing over and over and for what it's worth, I am a Crossfield parent who agrees with you. I would like to be Carson-Skyview, but if we're not, then Franklin makes sense.

Why can’t it be Carson-Oakton for you? If you want it to be Rocky Run-Oakton for our kids I see no difference. Carson then also makes sense for you.

I have. In fact we have a whole group that is getting together to protest Crossfield moving to Franklin and to make sure they stay at Carson and go to Skyview and quit messing up everyone else. It’s called “CBS” - Crossfield Belongs at Skyview.

Yet you are 100% sure that it’s not because Crossfield is coming to Franklin. Huh.

Can somebody tell me why Franklin is better than Rocky Run for Navy/Chantilly families? I always thought Rocky Run is a better school.

But there are no objections from Crossfield family for Navy/Oakton or Navy/Chantilly to stay at Franklin. As a matter of fact, we would love Navy to stay at Franklin as Oak Hill will move out anyway.

Currently all of Navy feeds into Franklin. The cohort is kept together at least for middle school which is nice. Franklin is a good mix of Oakton and Chantilly kids. The main advantage I see to staying at Franklin is that Navy Chantilly kids get to start middle school (which is hard enough) with familiar peers from elementary before being ripped away to a different high school. At least they have all their Navy friends in middle school. It’s a bit of an easier transition after the two years to then go to a totally different high school away from their Navy cohort. Most Navy kids will end up at Oakton.

I personally am not opposed to going to Rocky Run, but it would be sad to be split up from most of the elementary school cohort when starting middle.

I mean, I'm a Crossfield parent who is advocating for my kids to stay at Carson and go to Skyview, so that's fine.

But hey, you know what I'm not doing? Advocating to move someone else's kid anywhere. I am staying purely in my lane. Not blaming anyone else for anything, just advocating for my own children. Highly recommend you do the same. Stop blaming other people, stop suggesting other people move elsewhere, just stay in your own lane.

Also, really, take a gummy or something, you really need to calm down.

Adults really are just big children, aren't they? Can we do a CBS vs RIO dodgeball game?

FWIW. Navy kids can stay at Franklin and it will still be split with Chantilly. Anyone ever hear of Lee's Corner?

Yes of course. They are staying at Franklin so why should Navy get kicked out?
