I feel more anxious than excited. The pick is going to make it break this election . Praying that they don't screw it up.

+1 I worry they have so little vetting time.

Hearing more talk about Mayor Pete as a potential VP.

No one is talking about Mayor Pete as a potential VP. He's a very talented politician with a bright future, but Indiana is not in play, and a Biden cabinet secretary is not a big add to the ticket. If he's being vetted, it's out of politeness.

I have heard his name come up multiple times.

An AG or GC is always going to have baggage when it comes to work place settlement agreements, etc. They settle - that’s what they do. The accused have a wide array of due process and privacy rights.

He also fully executed on the Catholic Church investigation in PA, which had been stymied by both Dems and Republicans with loyalty to the Church. It took a Jewish AG to shine on the Church. Eternally grateful to Shapiro for that.

I hope he’s not out of the running.

No. It's worse than that. No Shapiro and no Buttigeg

I don't think they'll pick anyone with horrific skeletons not Vance bad.
But I worry they'll pick someone that will turn just enough people off not to vote.

Admiral McRaven! That would swing my vote to Harris.

Discussed upthread. Rumor was that’s who she tapped but he declined.

In popular opinion polls, yes, due to name recognition and general likability. He's on zero political insider lists.

“The pick is going to make or break this election.” Bless your heart. Although if the VP pick is the designated scapegoat, who would say yes?

This is what I mean if people who are selecting the VP are as condescending as this pp well end up with a stupid pick that will turn people off

I don't know who you consider an insider but I have seen the name mentioned by multiple political talking heads and not on newsmax or fox

You're probably young enough to not remember John Edwards.

This is so important. I really like him.

I like him too; he’s my governor. I would prefer to keep him but if he did get the VP nod and they win, Minnesota would have Governor Flanagan, and she would be the first Native American (White Earth Ojibwe) governor. Pretty neat.

Walz is good because he won't have Democrats thinking 'why can't he be the nominee?'
