They do, but I don’t think the Jewish or LGBTQ protestors understand that the people they are defending wouldn’t even have them over for dinner.

My kid absolutely does. But for her, that doesn’t matter. She demands, based on our faith, that all are treated according to our principles. As an example, it is harder to argue against the death penalty if you are faced with a man who has raped and murdered a young mom in front of her traumatized children. But if you do not believe the state has a right to take a citizen’s life as a punishment, then the nature of the crime doesn’t matter. It isn’t easy to live.

Oh, then your kid must have been absolutely horrified by the atrocities committed on Oct. 7! Did she speak out then? No? Why not?

Because she is American and is protesting her government primarily. She actually really liked the president’s responses post 10/7. She thought he did a good job in reaching out to Jewish Americans as well as the Israelis to express support. She has no issues (she has told me) with the US funding Iron Dome. But given the poor (in her opinion) way that Israel is prosecuting this war, with absolute lack of care for civilians, she wants the US to step back and stop funds transfer to the Israel. And especially the sale of any offensive weapons.

I think what Israel lost with my daughter and many of her friends is the benefit of the doubt. I think prior to this war, she more or less thought “the ME is messed up. The poor Israelis who have to deal with all the violence.” Now she doesn’t believe that either side is capable of speaking without a heavy dose of propaganda, and she thinks that Palestinians have been poorly treated.

I'm wondering why the opinion of your kid is of any importance at all? Why are you detailing her thoughts for us?

She also sounds terribly ignorant - as do you. Israel has given umpteen warnings and instructions for Gazans to move out of dangerous zones, but you know who won't allow them to do so? Hamas. Hamas needs its civilians to use as human shields. But you go right ahead and believe your heavy dose of propaganda, you and your silly daughter. The rest of the thinking world knows exactly what's going on and who is at fault. HAMAS.

Frankly, it’s nauseating.

It is their right. But their pro-Hamas protests win no hearts or minds.

The right wingers and administrators who are siccing the cops on them aren’t winning any hearts and minds either.

Actions and choices have consequences. No one has the right to do whatever they want and not obey the rules. Don't want cops? Then do what the administrators say. Don't want to obey? Then bye bye.

If she were to look at Israel and Palestinian conflicts of the previous recent years, she would have more nuance. But she wasn't been paying attention then. So for her, it didn't happen. And so she disapproves of Israel.

You could give her a bit of guidance and show her the many times that Palestinians sent rockets into Israel - and she could imagine how that would make her feel and react.

Did those rockets kill 35000 women and children??? Asking, just for nuance and context.

Can you imagine how you would feel and react being subject to frequent bombings for years and years? Would you react vigorously? Or temperately?

You are talking about the Palestinians, right? Who have been terrorized daily since 1948.

I guess someone is unaware (blissfully so) of all the Palestinian suicide bombers who have attacked Israel over the decades. But that doesn't count, right?

Mind, that number is conservative if you take into consideration the fact that Israel won’t allow the necessary heavy equipment in to do it. According to US defense secretary, over 25,000 women and children have been killed in Gaza. Gaza is gone. A genocide has happened and there are people out there who refuse to see it. In what world do people exist where this is ok? And where people who protest against this are called spoiled brats and terrorists supporters. Really?

Well that’s what happens when you allow yourself to be governed and ruled by terrorists.

Thank you. So sick of these simplistic twits who continue to rewrite history for their own virtue signaling purposes. None of them have ever read a history book; they think TikTok videos reflect reality.

it’s almost like Hamas should give up the hostages and agree to a ceasefire.

Imagine these protesters actually demanding something of Hamas. They are so brainwashed it's frightening. And Hamas is delighted.

That works both ways, maybe all these pro Israeli supporters need to go join the IDF and serve their true country. Pro Israeli people are also trying to influence policy from their gilded overpriced mansions.

DP. Are you aware that many Jewish Americans have gone to Israel to volunteer with the IDF? How many of the pro-Hamas protesters would ever in a million years head to Gaza to help Palestinians? Z-E-R-O. Posturing cowards, all of them.

This started with a bunch of dumb college kids camping in tents holding signs. The administration could have just ignored them and let them be stupid. They overreacted and made this a power game.

Some actually have. I don’t see anyone on the other side doing it. Why? Because Gaza is an oppressive conservative sh!thole where all of their lefty woke LGBTQ+ values would be met with bad consequences.

I honestly wonder if any of these ignorant protesters have any inkling of what would await them in Gaza. Not that they'll ever have the guts to find out.

Hamas doesn’t care about the students, but the Palestinians do.

On the contrary, these protesters are repeating Hamas talking points, verbatim. They are useful idiots for Hamas and are spreading their propaganda for terrorists. Congrats?

Major terror organizations have expressed support for these protests and disruptive actions, which have long been a key part of Hamas’s plan to win hearts and minds in the West. As early as a decade ago, during the July-August 2014 Israel-Gaza war, Hamas’s Interior Ministry issued guidelines to social-media activists on framing events for a Western audience.

Every senior Hamas leader has also acknowledged the importance of the protests and said that influencing U.S. and Western policy is part of the organization’s strategy for destroying Israel. Khaled Mashal, the Hamas leader abroad, on Oct. 10 urged supporters to protest “in cities everywhere.” On Oct. 31, he said that the organization’s friends “on the global left” were responding to its appeal. On March 27, he called for millions to take to the streets in protest, saying there had been an unprecedented shift in global public opinion.

On Oct. 7, Hamas leader and former Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh alluded to this on Al Jazeera TV. He exhorted the “resistance abroad,” “strategic allies” and Muslims worldwide—all “partners in creating this great victory”—to “join this battle any way they can.”

Wrong. The administration coddled and appeased them, allowing to squat in their squalid camps for longer than originally agreed, while they "negotiated" with them. The police were finally called in to remove the protesters when they wouldn't leave on their own. Why are you defending not only terrorists, but also "dumb college kids" refusing to follow protocol and obey laws?

Just wait for his GoFundMe to appear. Idiot.

You people are soulless ghouls. This is your reaction to a Palestinian young man struggling with what is happening to people there? Palestinian lives mean squat to you? Many of us DO NOT support Hamas but can still see that the treatment of civilians in Gaza is wrong and that the US should not be supporting this. And the blanket dismissal and demonization of all student protestors is wrong, as well.
