The real power rankings:
Contenders 1. Prep 2. SJC 3. Gonzaga 4. Bullis 5. Landon Huge Gulf 6. Episcopal 7. PVI 8. SSSAS 9. DeMatha Smaller Gulf 10. Heights 11. STA 12. Good Counsel Several public schools and maybe St. Andrews could be around this level. |
Landon belongs in the gulf. |
Your reading comprehension isn't very good. Saying #1 is a ridiculous statement refers to the pp's saying SJC is #1 until a local team beats them. If they had played Prep last year they would have been beat. SJC boosters are living off the coattails of the 2022 team. That is history, this is now. They would have been beat in 2023 by Prep, no question. They will be beat in 2024 as they lost their two best players. SJC was king in 2022, but that was almost two years ago. Stop living in the past. |
Girls girls, you're both pretty! Have a mimosa and CTFO. |
Who's to say SJC wouldn't play Prep. SJC boosters always tell the same story and always have the same tired line. 🙄 Every poll, nationally and local, had Prep ranked higher than SJC, every single one. Get over yourself and stop lying. It's embarrassing. "The Gonzaga/SJC game was played in a tsunami"? and the Prep/Gonzaga game wasn't? Have you watched and listened to the Madlax live stream? Educate yourself before you make up more lies. SJC beat Gonzaga by one point, Prep beat Gonzaga by 2. That's more, that's actually twice as many. If you want to compare more scores. Prep beat DeMatha by 9 (14-5). SJC college only beat them by three (7-4). Sit down SJC booster. |
Yep, big losses in Attack, Middies, Defenseman, and Goalies. Specifically, they lost the best LSM and Defenseman in the DMV |
Would have been the same result as the last 4 times they have played. L for Prep. keep ducking |
Good take. It's really GP and SJC. Any team beating them will be a big surprise. 3-9 will sort itself out but any of those teams could beat each other and no one would shout "major upset." |
Those 2022 coattails are pretty long and will continue on if SJC has another year of beating everyone in the DMV. If they don't and lose more than a couple, it'll be interesting to see how fast the lax pipeline dwindles on Military. SJC will also have to start placing kids in higher academic institutions to keep the DC crowd truly interested. |
I will go out on a limb and predict, SJC is going to have another "drop off" relative to the 2023 campaign. When you have a dominant FOGO, and incredible goalie, (don't care what the SJC homers are saying about their replacement), you will find yourself in much more competitive situations. If Dunkel can stay healthy for the entire Spring, the Cadets should be pretty solid, if not, they will take some losses. (don't know what their non-league schedule looksl like) The WCAC will be way down this Spring: DeMatha graduated a ton, and PVI's program is kinda a mess. The Heights while extremely well coached, have little depth and Good Counsel only cares about football. Both SJC and Gonzaga will likely coast through league play and meet in the finals. Top 4 teams this spring (no order here) SJC, Landon, Prep, Gonzaga. Bullis is a year away but I wouldn't count them out from making a serious run late Spring when their 2025s get some continuity. St Stephens also brings back their entire team from last year so look for them to be much more competitive after a down season. Curious, is Bullis playing SJC again this Spring? (I'm assuming GP and Landon aren't). Anyone from the MIAA playing the Cadets? thanks! |
Cadets playing Culver, Saint Anthonys, Boys Latin, Taft outside of WCAC |
Why is PVI a mess? They just named their replacement coach. |
and Hill Academy. SJC is not dodging anyone! |
I know Bullis has been trying to schedule SJC for months. SJC has declined/not accepted/refuses to play Bullis. SJC did the same thing in 2022. |
Very impressive! |
