Still I would not be surprised if Gonzaga wins the WCAC and finishes as the top team in the DMV

They better find a few more players with offensive skill. Their offense was anemic last year.

Gonzaga scored 12 v Bullis 12 v Landon 10 V SJC 11 v Culver. The O will be better this season.

Gonzaga always looks strong in March, can’t win when it actually matters in late April and May.

1. SJC until a local team beats them
2. Prep: Lost the most with graduation
3. Gonzaga: Could move to #1 most talented
4. Landon: Needs to shine with the 24 class from ML
5. Bullis: will enter #1 in 2025
6. SSSAS: rebound year with strong 24's
7. Dematha: Coaching makes the difference
8. PVI? Not sure can rank without a coach
9. Episcopal
10. STA (lost a lot missed from last year)

#1 is a ridiculous statement. SJC doesn't always have top local teams on their schedule, especially not IAC teams. This fact negates the first statement. Last year the only IAC team they played was Bullis and they only won by one point in (10-9). Prep beat Bullis twice, 18-2 in first game and 14-5 in second game. Prep was the top team in 2023 and would have undoubtedly beat SJC. This coming year SJC will no longer have their top FOGO and goalie. They will be down and likely lose to Gonzaga if Gonzaga can stay on track and disciplined. Further proof, SJC has 9 commits, while Gonzaga has 13. Gonzaga should be the better team unless coaching and captains (leaders) fail the team.

SJC is the best team in the DMV because they have the best coaching in the DMV. This is fall so really picking SJC (1) and Prep (2) should not be considered ridiculous. 9 commits v 13 means little. SJC still has the number one player. Gonzaga scored 2 goals yes 2 goals in the final WCAC game last season. If you want to put Prep #1 fine but neither is ridiculous picks. The real questions are which team makes the biggest leap forward and which team falls the most?

Gonzaga and Landon should be taking big steps forward this Spring based on their 2024 classes alone. Landon basically brings back their entire team from last spring and they were rather strong at the end of the season. Look for Good Counsel to much improved under the 2nd year of Dane Smith.

STA graduated a ton from their 2023 class and PVI coaching situation is a mess. Expect both programs to drop off.

Didn't PVI also graduate almost the entire starting team?

Are you new here? The IAC babies refuse to play St. John’s because they are mad that they recruited some players they thought they would get. Prep decided to play teams like Ryken last year instead. Ducking local teams doesn’t make you the best in the DMV.

Gonzaga will have a strong team if they don’t do any racist stuff or go destroy some other schools property. They will get a chance to prove they are the best in the DMV by playing the best. According to IL that game is May 3rd. Should be a great game.

Prep people always want to compare the Bullis score with St. John’s but they don’t want to compare the Gonzaga score. Almost the same result and the Gonzaga/SJC game was played in a tsunami. Bottom line is prep was scared to play because they knew they got whipped the last time they played St. John’s.

Is Our Lady of Good Counsel going to be any better this year or do they focus mainly on football?

Not sure about GC but they may do better but will not be in the top 5 of the WCAC. They are also not in VA, I was referring to Riverside HS in Loudoun who beat Gonzaga

It doesn’t matter, apparently Gozanga will crush them.
