This is my only question. My kid would be on the first plane home after that.

I agree, it's not normal to stay at a job where a murdered happened. I don't think an agency would even allow this to happen. Sounds suspect to me.

…unless law enforcement/judiciary is not allowing her to leave the country. Can’t travel if you don’t have a passport.

Law enforcement can require questioning but cannot force her to stay in a home where she witnessed a double murder. That is clearly being done by choice or coercion/$$. But I still maintain the question to the neighbor, are they sure it is the same au Pair not a different Au Pair or even the former one who has a very close relationship with the family? (are they seeing a young woman who looks similar and assuming it is her). I definitely believe there’s some thing off with the husband, but do not believe there’s a relationship going on.

I happen to know someone who knows the husband, as well as a few of his friends. Not saying it makes him guilty of murder, but Brendan is a sketchy, underhanded, deceitful man, as are some of his friends. In the past, he has been known to always expect to get his way and has lied to achieve such expectations. He has defrauded the federal government and maintains friendships with those that are known to do the same thing. His friends and family have been a bunch of crickets, but it could simply mean they have bigger things to worry about than what dcurbanmoms has to say about him. The only people who know what happened that morning were the four adults in the house that day, and tragically, two are no longer with us. Hopefully, there was enough evidence to corroborate Brendan’s story, for his sake. If not, may the person(s) responsible, be brought to justice.

Defrauded the federal government? In what way?

It was honestly all I was told by the person who knows Brendan. Really just food for thought on his character since nobody else is saying much.

You posted a game of telephone, w/ no details, about a person you’ve never met, to try and shed light on his character?

Well we have heard nothing as far as his actual friends speaking up or admitting they know him. As for Christine, and Joe they both have lots of friends at least that speak up for them. I suspect some people that know brendan prefer not outing themselves while team Joe seems to loudly speak up without fear of association.

If you think someone in your family or a friend is guilty of a crime do you really want to speak up? No one speaks for him because they simply don't want to.

The forum is a game of telephone. I think what they said is valid and helpful. Thanks to the original poster. I think it give us plenty of food for though, he sounds like a terrible person who might prefer murder, and insurance money over splitting up assets.

Let's ask Brendans friends questions like why didn't he speak to the police right away?
Is he a nice guy at all?
Why did he only have his dog, and not have his wife on a Facebook profile?
Why was there a dropped call when your wife was bleeding out?
Why during a 911 call did you first say "I shot Joe Ryan, before mentioning your wife had been stabbed" ?
Did you have insurance on your wife?

Call it what you will, but it’s no different than any other post on this 47 page thread of absolutely crazy ideas. The person who provided me with the “character” information has absolutely nothing to gain by sharing their past experiences with Brendan.

I know you want more, but I guess we’ll just have to wait until LE sorts it all out.

Wow, this is looking more and more each day like the husband murdered his wife and the other guy.

Ok, I too know Brendan, am friends with him as well as work with him. Those claims made by the “friend of the friend” are ludicrous. Defrauded the government and still maintains a respected job with the agency? Sure…more laughable accusations. Brendan is a good man, father and friend. He was also a good husband. Let the authorities do their work.

Lol, it’s actually really hard to get fired from a federal government job.

By still “maintains a respected job with the agency” they mean are on leave until the police investigation is over so then the IRS can investigate

Is the call from the AP/BB to 911 public record?

From what I understand (no personal experience) of couples on that site, it is usually the husband who pushes the idea and often it has to do with control. And from what has been said by LE all parties were known to one another so it was likely not the first time he was at the house.

So what would be the difference or trigger that day for violence? Was it perhaps that they may have been meeting w/o him and w/o his knowledge? Who knows, maybe they thought they had his consent? I can see him having motive more than JR, esp if there is a closeness with AP or if he felt betrayed and like them meeting that morning was different than what HE had agreed to.

Some boundaries seem wise not to push. Really strong emotions could be triggered.

Very sad, esp for the child. Hopefully forensics will shed light on what happened. Could have been planned or spur of the moment regardless of who the killer is. Either way that timeine is tight.
