I read that they assume he was waiting outside until all lights were out and/or it seemed like everyone was down for the night.

Note to self: Never turn out the lights.

If it is true that he followed any of them on social media, then I suspect that’s where it started and he tracked them down in real life. If he saw them out or at the restaurant where they worked, I don’t see how he could get their full names in order to find them on sm. I’m not so sure he was a infatuated with any of them though. That usually results in sexual assault before murder. I think he became angry with them and obsessed with hating them. Maybe he tried coming to one of their parties and they wouldn’t let him in. Or they did let him in but later asked him to leave because he was being creepy. I think Kaylee was the target because her injuries were worse, but also because this attack was NOT well thought out or careful. I think it was rather spontaneous because he found out she was in town for the weekend. If it was well thought out and she wasn’t the target, he wouldn’t have gone at a time when a dog was in the house and someone was up eating their door dash.

A known party house. The sister of one of the girls said on 20/20 that it had been a party house since before they moved in.

What does a known party house mean?

There are houses in college towns that just turn over from one group of hosts to another each year—the houses themselves are usually rented as one big unit, often have a high # of bedrooms and some jammed in baths. This one looks newer than the ones in Ann Arbor, but the phenomenon is 100% familiar and no one who has lived in a town like this is confused by what “party house” means.

Interesting! Thank you for taking the time to explain. I'm an older poster and honestly had never heard that term.

Np. For example, my freshman year, I became friends with some people who lived at "The Oak St House." They had parties every weekend. When 2 of them moved out, the other two were looking for roommates, so my best friend and I moved in. Residents always turned over like that... Friends from the party scene taking over leases, parties continued.

How would this be true if food was delivered at 4 and he killed them between 4-ish and 430 am-ish?

It has been reported by several sources. Kaylee’s dad also stated this. That’s why most people suspect that she was the target.

So, he wanted to be caught, right? The posting to forums with key details — saying to focus on the white Elantra, that the sheath was left at the scene before it was announced, that there must be digital DNA, providing a timeline and where cameras must have caught the perp — and then returning to the scene, possibly going to the vigil etc. With his interest and intent on both the murdering side and the criminology and psychology sides, he was kind of setting himself up to be a perfect case study? Or a case study of investigative discovery and how it can work well or not?

There has been zero confirmation that any of those accounts surmised to be him, is actually him. In fact, it is believed that Pappa Rodger is some random from Indiana. Regardless, LE has for sure investigated all this and will easily know if it’s him or not when this likely goes to trial.

No disrespect to Kaylee’s dad (he’s in deep grief, and i get it) but LE kept a ton of information from everyone and he has said things that have turned out to not be true. I would wait for the trial when all this comes out before making an assumption.

2 of them on IG and Spotify.

Someone said? On TikTok? Is there a credible news source reporting on this social media angle?

None of this is legit. There were a bunch of fake kohberger accounts created after he was caught. Most of his social media profiles that were legit were taken down right away.

His cell phone data showed that he drove by the house 12 different occasions (weekend nights) before the attack. I don’t think that could have been spontaneous unless he was just “stalking” on the previous times. Was he driving by all of those times trying to see if she was home? Kaylee was also supposedly there visiting and showing a new car to her friends. Maybe he found that out from social media?
