I see a huge mix not masking. They will change the rules again. |
Case in point. |
Those horrible, horrible Bethesda white people! Not masking? Whatever could they know about their own health and vaccine status that we don’t?! |
Nobody said anything about "horrible", let alone "horrible, horrible", except you. |
Bullsh!t. Absolute bullsh!t. You are a lying liar. |
| The people who are much better informed and more intelligent than the average person on the street (politicians, doctors, etc) are not masking. They clearly recognize it's a wasted effort so I don't bother to either. |
You're clearly not very familiar with the county council. Why are they meeting virtually if there's no danger? |
Yep. I wish they were true, because then I would have been happy to maskless myself. But I didn't want to be literally the only person not wearing mask. |
NP. I assume the inclusion of "politicians" was a typo, given that he was talking about people more intelligent than most. Have you ever tried to talk to Katz or Rice? They're not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. And for what it's worth, while I mostly agree with the reopening crowd, I wouldn't really want to be stuck in an enclosed space with them, either. Plus, isn't their building being renovated? |
Right. The vaccines do a remarkably good job of turning COVID into basically a cold in vast majority of people. We never masks over colds, or during flu season. It doesn't make sense to keep mandating masks now that everyone over 5 can be vaccinated, and higher risk adults can be boosted. |
The policy at the NIH continues to be to mask when indoors. They are the most informed regarding what needs to be done in a pandemic. Stop spreading disinformation. |
Yes, I'm curious too. That poster has popped up on a few threads saying that the rules will change. and they say it with such confidence. Would love some more insight into why they are so confident. Or, if they are still confident, given that there is only a few hours left for their prediction to come true? |
It isn’t covid itself that I worry about, it is the quarantine rules. My bil caught covid this fall, and his family was stuck with at least one person in quarantine for almost a month. His kids missed so much school. I will continue to mask up in public until the quarantine rules aren’t so strict. |
I curious too, given that we are now at 60. What makes me think they are not coming back is that DC is dropping the mandate. Will Montgomery County revise it's plans? Does PG have a mandate? |
They will probably just change the rules to make it more days or higher numbers. |
