Pretty sure if the dog were a kid she'd already be in jail for strangling it.

Try harder?

She didn't strangle the dog.

You're being disingenuous. You can still strangle someone without actually killing them and pretty sure if you put a collar around a kids neck and held them up by it while they panicked and cried to get free, CPS might have a word with you.

And meanwhile, JTBC, black men can watch birds too. It's not a white people only hobby.

DP. Wow...just watched the video. WTF was she doing to that dog? Ugh. I am glad they took the dog away. Psychopath on every level.

She has the most calm, logical and intelligent approach to this incident in all of the media. She makes an honest account looking at all sides not just some bs headline That makes us all lynch the “perpetrator” and applaud the “victim “. This situation is not black or white, no pun intended. Perhaps both Cooper’s were wrong actually all three because the sister of the man is also not innocent. They both certainly acted like entitled, Narcissistic fools

Candace Owens is calm, logical and intelligent? Is this a joke? The woman is crazy and is profiting off of making white people feel like there is a black person who believes like them. I told my white boss that if I ever needed a million dollars I would just come out as a black republican. Ya'll eat that sh!t up!

Yes, well this certainly sounds very balanced!

Candace Owens is incapable of being calm, logical, honest or intelligent.

Clearly PP thought that posting a counterpoint by a black woman would be a “checkmate” moment. Unfortunately she chose...Candace Owens 😂

My good friend is a Pulitzer winning journalist and he said this:

"I will say this: Nearly every white American is endowed with the power Amy Cooper had at her fingertips, and nearly every black person can find themselves in Christian Cooper’s position. At any moment a white neighbor or motorist can describe me as a threat as I stroll or jog through my neighborhood and the same police who kneel on black men’s necks and shoot them when they’re unarmed will respond. It’s not just a reality in the Trump era, it’s lifelong. The economy, education and legal systems put white people first and the police act as a thin red line that protects them.

White people often say that people of color play the race card. But the truth is that white people created the game, made the cards, built and shuffled the deck, and dealt the hands. The house always wins."

I thought it was brilliant.

This is straight from Trump's playbook. No, this is not two people behaving badly. There are not "good people on both sides". One is Hitler and one is an educated and law abiding Jew.

She is not only racist but she is a cold blooded wanna-be murderer who basically wanted this man to die because he was being a good citizen and inconveniencing her. Her acting to use the PC "African American" instead of any other name tells you the level of her depraved cunning.

The action of this brave man exposed a psychopathic NPD to the world. I worry for the safety of this man because people who stand up for justice are silenced and attacked.

Police brutality is not a myth. This white woman was betting on the cops to silence this guy. Without these videos the truth of how racist America is would never be revealed.

She's 41, a graduate of U of Chicago (Booth School of Business) and is only pullng $170k/yr in NYC.

I think she's had some stumbles on the career ladder. She should be doing much better.

You have to understand that these types of cherrry picked videos are red meat for the keyboard warriors on the far left. It is en vogue to portray black males as victims of the big bad white people. The people compulsively posting about about this nonsense don't actually do anything positive in the real world, so this is all they have. And someone like that isn't interested in the nuances of a situation, as they have made up their mind and will call you a racist if you don't agree with them.

And yet, here you are, posting on an anonymous message board.

A child doesn't need to be on a leash, so begin with, and the child wouldn't pose a threat to the flora and fauna of The Ramble. It is a strawman argument all around.

The only thing that happened wrong was a woman illegally walked her dog off leash and took offense by being called out for it, and then ratcheted up the whole thing herself by calling the police and lying about the big bad black man.

And what about the crazy man faking bird watching who set up the situation via his own version of what happened and was trying to take her dog. If this was a child it would be kidnapping. It was not a false police report as he was trying to take her dog by calling the dog over and offering it treats without her consent. Look at his actions. He should be fired. She was unhinged but she was provoked and he kept after her and most women along in a park would panic.

He's on the board of the NY Audobon Society and is a Harvard graduate.

What is wrong with you?

He wasn't trying to "take the dog" - he wanted her to follow the law. Remember how the GOP was the party of the rule of law? I do. It seems to be a quaint concept at this juncture.

I’m going to make sure my kids understand that it’s not a crime for them to be recorded in public.

I think the woman genuinely believed that being recorded in public by a stranger is somehow in and of itself illegal or assault or something.

You can be recorded in public. You can record police. Govern yourself accordingly.

You tell your kids to run from a man like that. He had treats and was calling the dog over. If that was your kid with you and he did that to your kid, what would you think?

Its not ok to threaten someone by videoing them. She was in an area alone and her dog was was not bothering anyone. His bird watching story made no sense.

He's a board member of the NY Audobon Society, you dolt. She violated leash laws and placed a false 911 call, and you're defending her? So sick of all the racist Karens around here.

Who cares if he was a board member? He should have the common sense not to walk up to a woman, intimidate her and then try to steal her dog. If that were a child, it would be kidnapping. She may be racist, but he's a nut job and potential dog napper.

He did not walk up to her.
He did not intimidate her.
He did not try to steal her dog.

But other than that, yes, you are right.

How do you know how much she makes? That could just be her base salary and much or most of her compensation could come from bonus.

I don't need someone like Candace Owens to discuss or interpret this event for me. The video was posted for all to see EXACTLY what happened. No breakdown needed.

Why don’t people leash their dogs? Lincoln Park is essentially unusable because of jerks like Amy Cooper who feel entitled to break the law.

90% of the people I see with dogs off leash are entitled white people.

You might want to get your eyes checked. Have them inspect your brain while they're at it.
