IAC Lacrosse 2019 Season

Bullis has plenty of talent as well. Prep's list doesn't jump out copared to most of the top teams from the past decade. Those commits mean nothing if you haven't won anything in the past few years and have a middling coach.

Don't waste your time.

There is no IAC central staff or office or anything. There is no commissioner, there is no office and there is no web site I have ever seen.

The IAC is only an association of the schools and the Athletic Directors are the representatives of the schools and the resources are all at the schools.

In fact, as a result there re very few rules to speak of. It's all based on what the majority wants of doesn't want.

You can find the IAC rules on the STA athletics page. There are rules but they are “self-enforced.” No commissioner or governing body to review anything. For example, one highly-touted IAC player is in his fifth year playing high school varsity lacrosse because he played varsity as a freshman at a public school before repeating 9th grade and playing 4 years on varsity at his private school. The rules clearly state that no one can play more than 4 years of varsity lacrosse, but no one can do anything about it.

Anybody know if Bullis-Prep will be streamed?

The game is at Bullis and a Bullis normally streams their home sporting events.

Oh wait, reclassifying has nothing to do with any of that—Prep is just a great school.

gag.

Gag all you want, but it’s true. Only STA has a comparable list of alumni in the DMV area.

Yeah, 2 trump appointees is really something to crow about.

Very interesting clash on Tuesday....Prep likely has the best D and Bullis likely the best O in the IAC. Senior night at home for Bullis is an advantage...how will the underclassman perform if the seniors don't step up? Goalie play and depth are huge factors as well. Good luck to both teams.

Bullis is better coached and has more fire power.

GP has the size, a stronger defense, and a deeper bench.

Bullis wins by 2

At least eight of those “men” reclassed at Mater Dei. Didn’t seem to hurt them getting into top schools. Mike drop...

Regardless, sta people do the same thing. Just listing a bunch of names of people means nothing. Every school can give a similar list. There are plenty of graduates who contribute in a meaningful way to society that wouldn’t make these “big name” lists. It does a disservice to the kids who go to these schools who think this is all that matters. Now enough of that. Let’s get back to lax.
Like a prior poster asked, what happened to sssa? I haven’t seen them play this year but thought they were supposed to be very strong.

SSSA had some mid-season injuries that at least affected the team's momentum -- don't know if they truly changed the outcome of any games, though. No bad losses - just Haverford in OT, Bullis, Prep, and an undefeated St. Christopher's team. Everyone is healthy now. If the team plays well, it should have a chance against the higher seeds in the IAC tourney. Game against Landon tomorrow should be interesting. Landon played closer games against Bullis and Prep, and Landon will be the home team. So, at least on paper, Landon should be the favorite.

If the game isn't streamed I have half a mind to go there and watch the game in person. Would it be too weird for a 40 yr old guy to go watch a HS lax game by himself? It's only about a 5 minute drive away from where I live.

There will be a lot of people there. No one will notice you. I've attended much more sparsely watched games (scouting for girls teams) and I've always blended in. It is really nice to watch the game on the field but also to see the replays or close-ups on the boards.
