So are these American Nazis the same as the ones in WWII? Are these American Nazis supposed to be killed by private individuals, with no trial, no jury, no rule of law? Here he/she is (I thought it was a he, but it doesn't really matter), advocating mortal violence against people that he/she calls Nazis, by birthright. |
+1. They have their reasons (because public safety has been used as a pretext in the past), but they are too dismissive of legitimate public safety concerns. |
So you propose that it's open season to kill Americans who are Nazis? You think this is how a civil society of law conducts itself? |
| We shouldn't have American Nazis. |
This is the same as saying "violence from all sides" and you know it. Only one side showed up armed with the intent to fight. I feel certain they were also hoping to get footage or photos of law enforcement attacking the alt-right, so they could use it in their recruitment materials. It seems they've learned a few things from the likes of ISIS. The right to peaceably assemble is one worth fighting for. It's a despicable and diabolical mindset that uses that right to assemble with weapons and intent to use them. I've never wanted to see people stripped of their citizenship before now. Round this trash up, drive them to the Mexico border and make them walk over to Nuevo Laredo. |
Apparently it's open season to mow down thirty year old mothers in crowds. |
I'll be interested in talking about appropriate solutions with people who agree that these white supremacists grievances are entirely frivolous. I'm not really interested in debating the finer points of that argument with people who think there is no relevant difference between these white supremacists and other aggrieved groups. |

Wrong. The counter protestors showed up with chemical sprays and threw some of the first punches, per the WaPo. |
Exactly. Even The Washington Post was forced to admit the truth. |
You guys have got to learn what an op ed is. |
Holy shit lol did you really just try to make a delineation between "good" American Nazis and bad WWII Nazis? They're the same!! There is no threat to kill anyone, the sign simply says she's there protesting the Nazi presence because that's what her family DOES. Fight Nazis. Signs are not weapons or violence lmao |
Is it true or not true that the counter protestors showed up with chemical sprays? |
That's absurd. It's not the ACLU's job to organize the march. They are lawyers, and their job is to represent the First Amendment rights of their clients. Safety is the government's job. The court decides what balance is acceptable. |
Dear heart, it was in a news article, but nice try! |
