Considering we are over performing in every election this year, pretty damn good.

And Dems are going to be looking better and better as Trump’s ratings continue to tank. He’s still in his honeymoon period and starting to go down quickly after his tariff shenanigans. Imagine what his approval ratings will look like in 3.5 years!

Voters always trust Rs more on the economy. A Trump recession doesn’t make swing voters yearn for Ds.

Give it time. They’ll be yearning for anything but the Trump Party by the time his reign is over. He’s only just started and look how much economic damage he has already created.

Unwilling to change anything about their unpopular party, Dems are now wishing economic suffering on the American people in hopes that this will make them relatively less unpopular by default. It’s a strategy!

MAGAs are truly dumber than a bag of hammers. Trump is now President and he’s the one causing all the chaos. Let that penetrate your thick skulls.

Hate to break it to you, but 70+ million voters are not "dumber than a bag of hammers." "Dumb" would be a person who can't understand why Democrats lost the recent presidential election.

You're last sentence may be true, but so is the point about MAGAs made above (dumb in voting against their interests; dumb supporting a schizophrenic sexual predator who is crashing the economy and our world standing). NP, btw.

There were more people voting against Biden in 2024 than truly legitimate MAGA idiots just like there were more people voting against Trump in 2020 than there were people who actually thought a 78 year old Biden was a good option for POTUS.

Hitler was wildly popular too.... So what is your point?

Trump and Biden and their 40% average job approval ratings are anything but "popular". Their awfulness drove voters to the polls in 2020 and 2024 to vote against them. The only person on the planet that could lose to Biden in 2020 was Trump and the only person on the planet that could create a pathway for Trump to win a second term in 2024 was Biden.

America needs to put these clowns behind them and strive to do much, much better!!

Actual LOTS of people didn’t vote at all. I think that says more about Americans wanting neither candidate.

Lots of people don't vote in all elections. Trump and Biden, with all their unfitness and awfulness, actually received more votes in 2020 than in any other election in our history. It's very sad to see that it takes two awful POTUS candidates to get people out to vote.

The point is how sad it is when the awfulness of our two major party nominees is what brings people out to the polls.

It's not just happening here. It's happening all over Europe as well. Especially post Covid, people all over the world are feeling detached from politics, cynical about politicians, and less optimistic about the ability of any political party to bring about meaningful change.

Money running the show in politics and government is an out of control problem everywhere.

I haven't seen anyone post about this new and troubling poll result yet. Consumer confidence falls to a 45-year low. That's a big deal.

Americans are rarely this pessimistic about the economy. Consumer sentiment plunged 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 50.8, the University of Michigan said in its latest survey released Friday, the second-lowest reading on records going back to 1952. April’s reading was lower than anything seen during the Great Recession. President Donald Trump’s volatile trade war, which threatens higher inflation, has significantly weighed on Americans’ moods these past few months. That malaise worsened leading up to Trump’s announcement last week of sweeping tariffs, according to the survey.

Shocker. Trump moving towards the upper 30% to lower 40% range in his job approval ratings. We've seen this a few times in the past 8 years. Elderly presidents is a very, very bad idea.

Give it time. He’s a one-man wrecking ball and he’s going to wreck the GOP and the country with it.

Meanwhile, in red state Utah, Bernie Sanders and AOC drew a crowd of 20,000.

New poll:

Most Americans in a new poll say the wealthy and large corporations will benefit the most from President Trump’s tariffs on various imports and trade policies.

In the latest CBS News/YouGov poll released Sunday, 74 percent of respondents said that Trump’s tariffs and trade policies will benefit wealthy people, and 71 percent said they will benefit large corporations. Half of the Americans polled said they would benefit the U.S. auto industry.

That's not saying much. And should not give any Republican confidence heading into 2026 and beyond.

People dislike a lot of Democrats, and people dislike Trump. And people often vote for "change".

Evidence? I’m absolutely sure Harris would beat Trump if a rematch were held today.
