What ever makes the most sense they will do the opposite |
| I’ve been thinking about just using my leave to come home earlier 2 days a week. I think it would be worth it to me. And/or asking my boss for part time work. |
My agency told us they don’t want to do a zillion RSAs for borrowing office space. But also that the agency who owns it will get first dibs at their offices and will most likely fill the space themselves. |
If you don’t care about the mission quit, but refusing to work is pathetic and unethical, and I hope you get fired. Btw I’m a democratic who voted for Kamala. They want you to not do your job. They want you to quite quit so that nothing good gets enforced or done or so you screw yourself over so badly you get put on a PIP and fired. I hope the deep state is smarter than you, because we need intelligent people doing their jobs over the next four years instead of the entitled, self righteous people on here whining about aftercare and claiming they can’t have a child until both they and their husband have work from home jobs. Grow up. |
Well this is what I had to do with my kids. Is it perfect? No and sometimes the young lady wasn’t available and I had to take leave. But you do what you have to do. Early dismissals, late starts, school holidays, snow days, sick kids… It’s all a pain (and expensive) as a working parent but feds do also have generous leave. I didn’t take many vacations, didn’t have a cleaning lady, didn’t drive a fancy car. |
Yeah agreed. I mean college students are great but their schedules vary a lot, they are usually gone frequently, they have tests/illnesses come up. They can be fine, but I’ve never found them to be great. |
I wish I had copied the email but it basically said they will comply with the RO and mentioned exceptions for reasonable accommodations (and maybe something else, I forgot), but was noticeably quiet about the CBA. From people I’ve talked to who know things it sounds like management isn’t planning to try to uphold the union contract and that AFGE has already filed suit. |
| Ignoring the “back in my day” troll, do we think the new OPM memo signals they’re being less draconian? Even just slightly? |
Working your actual scheduled work hours is not being unethical. It’s doing what you have been hired to do. Is Congress working overtime? Are they full time M-F in their offices now? I think giving my 40 hours is what I was hired to do. |
I would not try for PT right now, stay under the radar. |
It’s really weird that you hang out in this thread |
MAGA are generally lacking in talent except for when it comes to mental gymnastics to blame everything on “the libs.” They’ll control the WH, Congress, and SCOTUS and still manage to blame Biden. |
Working for four hours and socializing for four hours is pathetic. |
+1. Frankly too many people have been giving free labor and it hurts everybody because it artificially props up the insufficient budget and FTE. |
Definitely false. We are looking everywhere for space to rent because we were already at 85% capacity with 60% telework employees hot seating when they come into the office. Where were these empty offices? |
