Let’s face it, none of the candidates this year are on an intellectual level with say Clinton or Obama. Vance probably has the best academic credentials of the lot. Which is why there are multiple jokes about coach surfing, donuts, etc. It’s called deflection.
The man is bright so of course some will seek to discredit him. |
Definitely a troll. |
Or (and I know this might seem crazy to you but hear me out), primaries are not a requirement under the law, there was no time to institute new ones after Biden dropped out, and holding an open convention would have been sheer chaos and handed the White House over to Trump in November. Assuming the posters whining about this are actually disaffected Democrats and not just right wing trolls, what exactly did you think you were voting for when you voted for the Biden-Harris ticket in your state's primary? Idiots. |
|
And JD Vance has reversed his positions on his running mate. Before becoming the VP candidate: - said he was a never Trumper and he never liked him - called him an idiot and America's Hi+ler and "a cynical a$$hole like Nixon" - said and agreed with "The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs." - said "Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation's highest office" - said "...there's a chance, if I feel like Trump has a really good chance of winning, that I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton." - said "I can't stomach Trump." It's a shame. He was right before until he let his blind ambition change his mind and he could suddenly stomach a Hi+ler and authoritarian fascist who was unfit for our nation's highest office, just for personal gain. The Republicans have completely forgone any illusion that integrity matters to them with their ticket. |
hmm ... so which plans does she have? The one about banning price gauging, and the one about 25,000 for home ownership is all I've heard. Well yeah, probably her plans (such as they are) will cost less than Trump's ![]() |

Babylon Bee is the most unfunny “comedy” ever. Conservatives don’t have a sense of humor and it shows. |
Clinton came in with so much political baggage from the previous two decades of public life. Her baggage overwhelmed the concept of voting for the first woman President. She was a horribly flawed candidate to begin with. Then her campaign manager was not very good and allowed themselves to be blindsided by the Trump tactic of rousing the rural communities of purple states to swing them. Trump needed all of that to win by 77K votes out of over 300M votes. |
Trump, however, lost the last time he ran for President. It is very rare that a party is willing to renominate the person who cost them the last presidential election. |
Well duh. Nominate the loser. What a great strategy. |
Big mistake here. You used "Republicans" and "integrity" in the same sentence. |
It’s not just rare, it’s unprecedented that a party would nominate a person who did not participate in a primary. |
The Republican party wanted nothing LESS than to nominate Trump. However, their voters voted for him so what they were willing to do was of no consequence. See how that works? |
