My daughter works in a dental office. The Spanish speaking patients are all paid for by DSHS. Not only the dental is free, they are now receiving free orthodontia work all paid for by the hardworking taxpayer. She regularly sees $5000-7000 dental bills for a single patient, NOT a family. This is just the tip of iceberg...saunter on over to the food stamp or aid to children or welfare offices. The bills are huge and I suspect larger than this article cites. Sickening, really and a huge magnet for more to cross the border.

How do you know they are undocumented kids?! I have NEVER in my 20 plus years as a pediatrician had a child of undocumented workers even attempt to claim government benefits as it is a sure fire way to get caught. However, since our practice has a sign in the waiting room that says, "No child will ever be turned away for the guardians inability to pay", we get a good number of children of foreign born parents (I have no clue if they are here illegally!! How could anyone know that?) Anyway, the foreign born parents nearly always offer to pay something.

You are a fool, OP. Do you seriously think that all poor Spanish speaking people are here illegally? Our gardener only speaks Spanish and he is a US citizen. Same with our once a week housekeeper ( although she speaks English with a thick accent). Both US citizens. Their children and spouses are US citizens, too.

I'm politically moderate and not white. It's not partisan politics to recognize that illegal immigrants costs us. Look around. If you live anywhere in Northern VA you'll see droves of recent illegal immigrants or their children. Our schools are overcrowded, our resources are being spent teaching them English, they get free lunch, and they get money from the local government in other ways. That is how they afford to live her when college educated people with multiple degrees have trouble with the mortgage.

Our current porous border is absolutely unsustainable. And if Obama had addressed this problem better, Trump would not have won.
