Just how do you think a hard-working parent earning $40,000 or $50,000 a year feels when she can't afford braces for her kid, and yet the child who is here illegally gets them for free (via a DC program)?

Well maybe the dumb parent making 40-50k should go into business for himself, accept only cash, and have no problems paying for his kids' orthodontia (or get it paid by Medicaid since the kids are legal) bc they don't pay any taxes. Hell, my handyman has all his front teeth crowned. I'm sure he paid for them in cash. Americans have no hustle, I'm afraid.

Since you prefer people from south of the border to Americans, I have a suggestion on where you could move.

It's also a problem of legal immigrants who are a burden on taxpayers- it is easy for a naturalized citizen to bring their parents who then get subsidized housing, Medicare, and all kinds of in kind support.
As for schools, ours is 65% Hispanic, I don't know their status, but an overwhelming majority doesn't do shit for school, yet get the benefits like free meals, aftercare, and all events organized and paid for for their offspring by the white and Asian middle class families donations.

Yes. They are extremely selfish, for the most part. But in their defense, all they are doing is working the system. The system is what's really the problem and needs to change. Though I can't stand Trump, I am so glad Hillary is not president. These policies would just have continued to expand, all on the backs of the middle class.

BUT - PG dental clinics are only for HIV+ patients, undocumented pregnant women, and undocumented children. I work in public health, and although I do love what I do, politically I lean conservative.

If someone can tell me why it makes sense to have clinics for undocumented women and children, but not legal residents, I would love to hear it.
