Because many people looked up to him and thought he advocated for some good things. Like him personally or not, he's had a long, successful career in the Senate.

yup. so many people die with brain cancer all over the world. a lot did today to. why should I be sad for one more death? |

Yes. I'm really grateful for all he has done but I'm not sad. The man rested. Cancer is so awful. Good for him his time to rest has come. |
