Yup...and the team is back to practicing this week as well, prepping for its game with FSU on the 10th.

Cases still low among students and staff and positivity rate at the school is still around 1%. We always knew football presented risks.

Who were supposedly isolating - of course it is hard to be mad at them considering the head of the university decided to avoid wearing a mask in a crowd.

Any predictions on whether ND's apps will go up or down this fall? Genuinely curious as a parent of a high school senior.

I think up b/c at least the school is open and kids are attending. The schools which risk lower apps are those that closed like Smith.

Why?
I would think there's zero correlation since it doesn't impact the next year's cycle. Unless you believe that schools that went 100% remote are likely to still be doing so Fall 2021...in which case then I would ask why you believe that when no college has indicated that at all and it doesn't seem that likely. I could see among the schools that reopened the ones who had worst levels of cases experiencing some slight negative effect, but I don't think it will really make that much of a difference.

I can’t believe this thread is still going. Look here’s a nice list of colleges and universities with COVID cases. Can someone start a new thread over analyzing another school? This one is like beating a dead horse.

NP. I thought this would have been over before the current semester started and obviously I was wrong. Some places have strict enough rules that colleges have not managed to open. When will Georgetown's campus be open - just one random example.

I add up 30 cases from 3,318 tests over the last 5 day period. On a campus that size, I still say they're doing quite well.
(And being an alum of a rival school, it takes a lot for me to compliment ND for anything!)

I'm watching for what happens at FSU after that 1,000 person party!

ACB rocks without a mask too.

I'd like to see covid cases by college by percentages of undergraduates who have tested positive total so we can compare them more effectively. Schools with 30k vs 8k are going to have different numbers. Like UVA doesn't seem to have too many cases unless you realize that they are a relatively small flagship school.

Well you could look. Take U of Michigan. Since March 8 they have conducted 22,392 tests and have had 518 positives. They have about 47,000 students at UofM.

So let’s compare: school with 47,000 students - 518 positives. School with about 8,600 students - 763 cases. Hmmmm. Which number is “better”? I wonder. Do you think the President of UofM would go to a crowded event and not wear a mask when UofM requires all students to wear masks when they are not in their rooms or alone elsewhere?

Are all the students at Michigan on campus this semester?
